It’s getting toward the pointy end of the year with footy, and now is the time to start preparing your body and putting recovery at the forefront of your strategy to succeed! After a long and challenging season, it’s common to have niggles, tight and fatigued muscles and a decline in motivation. Incorporating recovery can play a massive part in your performance during finals and help offset the negative effects that a long season can have on your body.
At Blyss, many of our therapists have extensive background working in both local and elite level football clubs. Let Blyss be your difference!

This big red fox 🦊 has been a massive inspiration for Trainer Rach's ongoing study in Canine Myotherapy & Massage.
Who can spot the area on Duke the Husky's body where he has a physical weakness? 🤔
So what exactly is Canine Myotherapy & what can it do for my dog?
Very good question indeed!
Canine Myotherapy is a form of non-invasive physical therapy capable of supporting, improving and maintaining a dogs general health & well-being. It provides assistance in treating dysfunction or imbalance primarily in the musculo-skeletal system of a dog in order to reduce stress on the entire body. The physiological effects and associated benefits in supporting the body are numerous and this is the primary reason that makes this type of treatment so beneficial.
So... what sort of issues can this type of treatment help my dog with?
Canine Myotherapy and Massage can assist with limitations and pain associated with: Anxiety & mental stress. Illness & disease. Recovery from surgery, injury & trauma. Arthritis & old age. Overexertion & strain to name only a few.
We are super excited to start offering our K9 Myobalance services very very soon. We provide a service where we come to you so your dog can enjoy their treatments in the comfort of their own home stress free. Our Animal wellness clinic is in the pipeline too for future Myobalance treatments before or after training, exercise or play sessions. 🐾

Why you have Back Pain when Deadlifting according to the “Pain Science” approach.
Apparently when you were 5 years old you had an ice cream and as you BENT FORWARD to tie your shoe laces the ice-cream fell on the ground. You have worn Velcro tie shoes ever since and because you associate bending forward to the emotional pain of losing that ice-cream you get low back pain when you Deadlift. Welcome to the new world of “Pain science” a world devoid of Biomechanics, it’s just all in your repressed fears.
Because health professionals are not being educated into Biomechanical assessment of movement for Low Back Pain, we now have had “Pain sciences” pushed on under equipped new graduates. Or maybe it was just that you dropped your ice-cream... #physiotherapy#painscience#painsciences#chiropractic#osteopathy#myotherapy#exercisescience#exercisephysiology#lowbackpain#deadlifting

Wuo Tai is an inviting dance of elliptical movements for two people on the ground. A synthesis of various disciplines harvested on the journey across continents and influenced by asia. It is inspired by the elegant marriage of dance and Osteopathy. It doesn’t require any specific physical condition.
It is practiced at any age and explores the vast variety of soothing body gestures. Wuo Tai is a new gymnastic for two which movements promote an awakening of consciousness and relationship.
Wuo Tai brings flexibility, strength, agility, and balance. The magic of Wuo Tai is to simply discover that we receive what we give. This momentum of gestures and sharing broadcasts in us a Buddhattitude, enchantment, life force and self-respect.
