Tension that becomes too great results in incorrect  alignment, increased stress on the joints from increased force and poor mobility.

My favourite recovery protocol  is to use @fiziqueza super band for static stretches (holding them for a short period and increasing repititions) and Foam rolling with my "L- Roller". The "L-Roller" is a foam roller designed by @l.i.biokinetics 💪

The big problem when your breathing is out, everything else is out. Breathe incorrectly and your whole body has to find another way to stabilise your torso.😅

It’s a huge problem among… well the majority of the people I see. This is one of my favourite ways to teach the correct way of breathing (into your belly).

Add this into the start of your workouts… you’ll feel calmer and get more out of your sessions… trust me!🤗

🤓Key Tips:
+ Lie on your back with your feet raised up on a wall or chair so your knees are bent to 90 degrees (this will keep you lower back flat on the floor)
+ Place a weight plate (2.5-5 Kg) on your belly and practice breathing into the weight and pushing it up (without breathing into your chest
+ Try to push the plate up as you breath out too – (this is pretty hard)
+ Then put your hands on the sides of your belly and as you breath in push against your hands AND the plate at the same time

Have you ever seen people use these rollers and wondered why they doing that? Well it’s called myofacial release and it is very beneficial! ⭐️🙌🏼 It breaks up knots and releases trigger points⭐️improves flexibility ⭐️enhances blood flow⭐️reduces muscle soreness 🙌🏼 to name a few. 
Here are some clips of the different areas I like to roll.
⭐️calves
⭐️hamstrings
⭐️quads
⭐️IT bands 
Keep in mind this is sped up so take your time when rolling out. If you find a spot that really hurt that means you have a knot that needs to be worked out. Stop on that and slowly roll back-and-forth for 30 seconds.

At Rooted Boston I take my little ball collection pretty seriously. Actually I have a whole different (yet similar) collection at home. Dancer friends know how this is, we’ve been rolling out our aches since we were kids. Actually the balls in this collection range from 14 years old to a few months old with different resistance and density.

Rolling, release, & stability ball work isn’t for everyone and doesn’t need to be, but for some it can compliment their work creating deeper and lasting change. I have seen some beautiful results and had clients make some wonderful discoveries with these balls! I find less is more. The harder the roller, the harder it is for the body to have effective release. We like to be hard on ourselves and have a no pain no gain culture in Fitness.
