I don’t aim to be perfect or to fit into a mold of what society sees as perfect. My goal is not to be skinny. What I desire most is to be strong, healthy and happy!
I want to live every day in a way that inspires my son and I want to model a healthy lifestyle in hopes that he will emulate the same in his life as he grows.
I want to model a strong and driven woman so that he will learn to appreciate and respect women and so that he won’t be intimidated by women who have goals and work hard to achieve them.
This is why I am on my journey.

It's Monday again! Time to do the things I need to take care of my whole self. That means getting my butt up, fueling it with good food and pushing play. I'm not an early morning person but I decided that getting up early and getting my workout in was worth it because I am worth it.

Week 8//: does the scale matter?
So I took last week off... the combination of the heatwave and consistently feeling nauseous I did not go to bootcamp🏋🏼♀️ and I didn't focus too much on my eating
And I lost weight🤷🏼♀️ not a lot but the scale still went down so to be completely honest the scale is a useless tool😂 literally... I just don't quite understand the logic in it and yes I know there are a lot of different factors to consider BUT still sometimes it does not make sense🤷🏼♀️ So... I am trying to not let it dominate my feelings about me. Me for my weather I am snowed in but I didn’t let that stop me from getting my workout in. Yes there is snow, yes it is cold by what does the weather have to do with me holding myself accountable. .
You see it is simple you can use something as a excuse or push yourself to get up together and workout for 30 mins. Working out bring so much mental clarity for me and it should for you as well.
I have condition my mind not to use things out of my control to stop me but to fuel me to keep going. Not only does workout help with my mental clarity it helps with my confidence, self love, mindset and so much more. .

So today I spent the morning catching up with some of my girlfriends over breakfast then I spent the afternoon shopping with my mum where, if you saw my insta stories, you would of seen we made a little pit stop.. 🙈
Before I would never of been able to eat or drink what I did without feeling ridiculously guilty but after years of self development and learning that it is okay to have a balance, I fricking enjoyed it 👌
After walking home from the shops, I pressed play on my 25 minute workout. Not to undo what I just ate but because I knew I wanted to do it to end the week strong and for me. It makes me feel amazing and what's 25 minutes out of my day?! 🤔
Now time for my Superfoods, relaxing for a bit then to enjoy some Sunday dinner 😬
Can’t stop won’t stop with the smoothie bowls 😋
They are so easy and SO GOOD 🙌🏼 and they fit perfectly into my meal plan. I love to enjoy food so “meal prepping” the same meal over and over does not work for me at all. I like to cook my meals fresh and eat them as soon as they’re done 😋 I also love to switch it up and have different things most days and weeks. My meal plan has taught me how to easily fit yummy and DIFFERENT meals into my menu so I don’t have to eat chicken, veggies, and rice for 5 days straight. I can have pancakes, fish tacos, burrito bowls, pizza, pasta, BROWNIES (these are all my favs 😂) it’s all about flexibility and allows treat meals so I don’t have to deprive myself of foods I love. There’s definitely a learning curve but once you get the hang of it your perspective about food will be completely changed.
I used to let food control me and how I felt about myself. If I let myself eat one “bad” thing I would totally throw away my progress and let myself spiral into weeks of bad eating habits. Now I know better. Food should be used to fuel us not tear us down! If you’re interested in how I plan and prep my meals shoot me a message!
