Why diets don’t work ......
Your body wants good food. When you eat less of what you usually eat and deprived your body of not only substance but actual nutrients🤦🏽♀️your body will hold onto whatever it does have preventing you from reaching your weight loss goals. .
change your nutrition and EAT MORE FOOD! 🌯 and never count another calorie! .
I never thought I would be able to eat three fajitas while on a fitness journey but here I am ..... who wants to join me 💁🏽♀️
🙋🏽♀️🙋🏽♀️ SAY YES TO CARBS
and say no to counting calories !
I’m making these again this week!
Today marks the last day of my six week 20 pound weight loss challenge. I joined the challenge for multiple reasons, but mainly to battle my anxiety and depression. And of course I wanted to lose weight and feel confident in my own skin. I knew 20 pound loss in such a short time would really tough on a person my size. So when I signed up I I knew I was forfeiting my $497, but it didn’t mean I wasn’t going to give it my all. I mean I still wanted to get my moneys worth. In the six weeks I was faced with numerous temptations and had a few injuries. My 3rd week I worked out in a sling and modified everything. I had opportunities to give up and get my money back, but I didn’t. I weighed in a day early yesterday because we’re on vacation today. I’m down 11 pounds 💪🏻 something I’m really proud of! First week was hard, second week was harder, third week was mentally challenging, fourth week I got into a routine, fifth week people started noticing how different I looked and week six I’m motivated to keep going.
This is what a professional trained health supportive chef eats for breakfast. Purple sweet potato, arugula, steamed spinach, fermented veggies, avocado and a sprinkle of dulse seaweed flakes. No flour, no grains, no sugar (and right now no eggs till my thyroid is in check). This tastes delicious, makes me feel good, fills me up and honestly fuels my day. We all need to find what works for us. What’s your healthy breakfast? #lectinfree#grainfree#myhealthydish
I typically splurge on road trips. I would pack healthy snacks, but during our stops I would make bad choices. We would stop for burgers, buy chips and candy at gas stations and even drink soda 🤦🏻♀️ Not this time. I have a mini cooler of meals and snacks and I’m sticking too it! I’m still going to enjoy myself on vacation, but saving the treats for when we’re at Disneyland. I have my eye on the new Pixar Themed Foods. I hear there’s Carrot Cake and Lemon Flavored Churros 🤤😋
Tha only way I really kno how 2 eat & enjoy my food. No more fried good 4 me. I gave it up because my body made me & honestly I dnt have a problem wit it. My taste not ur's, remember that #myhealthydish#myhealthylife#myhealth
The New @Motts Sensibles is 100% juice with 30% less sugar! It's been available since February and I only wish we discovered it sooner. Gives me peace of mind that I’m giving my kids less sugar, but not depriving them of what they enjoy. #sponsored#sensiblejuice
Savioury Egg Muffins -
I came up with this recipe beacuse of everyday morning rush. I want something that easy and quick to eat but super healthy. I’d discovered how to make miracle 50 calorie egg muffins that actually tasted fantastic. You can also bring it and eat anyware. It is also good for your kids lunch box.
1 – cooking spray
6 large – egg
1 cup – boiled mix red rice and quinoa
1/8 teaspoon – salt
1/8 teaspoon – black pepper, ground
1 medium – bell pepper, red
3/4 cup – spinach
Preheat oven to 180C/350F.
Spray 6 standard muffin holes with oil (I use 6 of my 12 hole muffin tin, NON STICK is best). Whisk eggs, salt and pepper. Stir through remaining ingredients.
Divide mixture between holes.
Bake 20 minutes or until the top is light golden and the centre springs back when touched.
Served immediately. Or allow to cool, then store in an airtight container in the fridge for 3 - 4 days, or freezer for 3 months (defrost 2 minutes in the microwave or overnight in the fridge)
Feel free to sub the vegetables with other vegetables of choice, as long as they are not watery
Happy Healthy eating..:)
What’s your boba flavor? After my girls tried these Watermelon Smoothies with Boba, I’ve been saving myself from trips to the local bubble tea shop- and sparing us from a sugar overload. It’s pretty easy to make your own boba at home- the key is using premium tapioca pearls for the bubbles, and most important, having a variety of boba straws to make it more fun to drink! All of my materials, including the brand of the tapioca pearls, are linked in the bio and recipe on my site.
Good morning sunshines! Happy Monday!!!! Today is a special day for me!! Today I begin my new program and I am very excited about! Haven’t take my pictures yet!!! Yesterday was a busy day and went to bed veryyy late, or should I say very early today! Haha well, anyway, I was checking my meal plan according to the program and it is said that if I want to loose 10 or mee pounds I have to go as it is shown, but because I don’t want to loose that much, I need to increase a little my portions, so here is an omelette with two eggs, usually have one egg every morning, but want to add mire protein, I just mixed them in a iwl with some garlic powder, salt, pepper and chopped tomato... on a pan, once is hot, spray coconut oil or the one you preferred, stir tour mix and wait just a minute or two, to add on the top chopped spinach, mushrooms and mozarella cheese.. wait another minute and flip it as a taco or empanada shape :) to get the heat all over the omelette.. serve and add avocado, tomato and sesame seeds for toppings... have p confess I couldn’t finish it 😬.. maybe after my workout I can add a little more! Have a great day everyone!!! 💃💃💃💃🤗❤️

I'm not a nutritionist, dietitian, or a health coach, but a healthy lifestyle dominates my life. Here are my answers to the most frequently asked questions women ask me. How have you stayed in shape for so long to be turning 50 next year?➡️I follow a healthy, dietary lifestyle & dance as my main source of exercise. If I don't dance, I do something active daily even if it's just 3 sets of a 60 second plank, jumping jacks, & squats. I'm no workout fanatic. Do you have cheat days/eat junk food?➡️No/Yes. I used to have 1 free day a week, but that became too much for my digestive system to handle, so I eat a treat on special occasions. Do you eat up to a certain hour of the day?➡️Heck no! I eat when I'm hungry. If it's late, I eat smart, especially when it's after midnight (like it is now). 🤗😋😂✌️1/2 of a sweet potato with cinnamon & a tiny scrape of vegan butter, steamed broccoli sprinkled with basil leaves & lemon pepper, popcorn (no artificial anything & no preservatives), & a glass of water with freshly squeezed lemon juice. #smarteating Want to know anything, please don't hesitate to ask. #healthytalk#veganofinstagram#veganfood#veganfoodie#vegan#healthyeating#40plusliving#myhealthydish#guiltfree#midnight#snacks#deliciousfood#teachinghealthyhabits#thelifeofahealthyeater
