Celeriac, chestnut soup 🍲.
Where are #souplover s, today I’m bringing to you the best soup ever. If you haven’t tried this soup you missed a lot. We enjoyed it so much, i had a visitor who would never expect that this soup is prepared of celeriac.
I hope you try this recipe exactly the way I developed it, and let me know plz.
1 celeriac or/celery root pealed and diced.
1/2 cup of chopped chestnut 🌰.
1 onion chopped.
1 celery chopped.
1 Handful of the green leaves of the celeriac chopped.
2 tsp of cumin, you can add more.
1tbsp of dried thyme.
2 seeds of cardamom.
1-2 Himalaya salt.
2 tbsp or more of hazelnut oil.
2 cups of water/ add more if needed.
Stir fry the onion, celery in the oil for about 3min until it gets the yellowish color, then add the celeriac and it’s leaves and let it fry in a high heat for 1-2 min then in medium heat, simmer/stir fry it for 15 mins,add the chestnut during this period and don’t put the lid on, if you’re using a good quality stewpot then don’t worry burning.
As it gets caramelized add around the water and let it simmer with the lid on until it’s ready and soft.
Blend everything and garnish with chives.
