Although it is easy to forget what our eyes see and what the hearts conceal throughout our lives, surely Allah will never forget those times, and He has instructed the angels on our left and right to write each and every point. Therefore, before we glance at something inappropriate or even hold unnecessary grudges towards another person, Allah sees everything. Every time we have thought of lying, every time we tried to look at something forbidden in Islam and every time something we planned to do against someone, Allah knows the seen and the unseen.
Allah mentioned in the holy Qur'an that our eyes are really important sense in our body, that if we lose, we would be in severe difficulty. Eyes are truly a blessing of Allah, and those who have lost them only knows how precious they are. However if the same blessings of eyes given by Allah are misused and spent on watching unproductive Tv dramas, cinematic movies and sexual content, we are definitely disrespecting Allah. Allah has clearly commanded us to lower our gazes while we are out from our houses, while talking to an opposite sex and surfing the internet. Truly, the eyes are one of the openings to the hearts, and if we expose them to something haram, then surely but slowly the heart will become black, and we as Muslims do not want that. Right?
In the same way, if our hearts are filled with negative thoughts against others and even about ourselves, then it is sure that Allah knows that too. If once we have promised to do something for someone, but inside our hearts we surely knew that it would not happen/we would not fulfil the promise, Allah has taken account of that and He will bring that broken promise on the Day of Judgement. Jealousy is a common feeling in people, and it evolves as a disease in our hearts, but we have to learn to control that before it becomes cancerous.
We should seek forgiveness from Allah daily just to make sure that He forgives us from anything sinful we may have committed during the day.
May Allah make us closer to Him and strengthen our connections with Him in this world. Ameen.
One of the guaranteed ways in which a person will surely enter Hellfire is if he did not stay silent or did not speak good to others about others, and unfortunately women will be mostly guilty of this truth. As humans, we are social creatures, therefore it is our natural tendencies to stay with others, make new connections with people and have trustworthy friends. However, if the same friends encourage you to gossip, backbite, talk down upon someone else, it is a sign of a weak, narrow and painfully heart, and Allah surely dislikes those hearts.
As Muslims, it is our duty to speak the truth, speak the good and speak something which will be pleasing the people and Allah, and certainly talking awful of someone is not in the list. Think about it, those people who listen to us talking bad of someone will think of us as the following ways: deceiving, untrustworthy and unjust. However, Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) was none of those as he was called by his neighbours and nation "The Trustworthy" and "The Just" even before his Prophet Hood. It is likely that these types of people are the people who will not see Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) on the Day of Judgement.
Allah has also mentioned on many authentic hadiths that the best of the gatherings where the angels are present are those where Allah is remembered. Although it is pretty understandable that gossiping has become now an attractive trait in people or somehow considered "cool", it is definitely not cool in the eyes of Allah, and we should all stop this habit before it is too late. This is because even if we might be following all 5 pillars of Islam, our hearts will become black, and there is no way we will smell the fragrance of Jannah in the Hereafter. The worst part of gossiping is that it is tempting and one of the easiest ways to sin. Therefore, what can we do avoid such situations?
The solutions are mentioned in the hadith:
1. Stay silent as mentioned in the hadith
2. Leave the gathering for the sake of Allah
May Allah make us closer to something which is good for us and keep us away from something which is bad for us. Ameen.
If you are going through pain, stress, hardship, difficulty or anything similiar, this Qur'anic verse is for you from Allah. Allah says in the holy Qur'an that "Verily with every hardship, there is ease" and He assures that we realise that as soon as we are hit with challenging situations.
Through this beautiful verse in the Qur'an, Allah reminds us that we will be living this life with obstacles, challenges and situations that we do not wish to be in, however we have to accept them and remember that with every difficult situation, there will be relief at the end. Instead of complaining to others, we should just raise our hands to Allah and ask for His guidance, because there is no one else except Him who can understand us.
The beautiful verse is also repeated twice, because Allah reassures us that what He says is true and there is no unreality in that, therefore we should blindly trust Him. Allah wants to remind us all that hardship will come, but it will be only to bring us closer to Him and success is waiting for us ahead along with patience. There is no denying that every difficulty brings us closer to Allah and purifies sins we have unknowingly or knowingly committed in the past.
Allah is not even asking us to worship Him to get relief from the difficulty we are in, but to just trust His words. As Muslims, we should not ask Allah to test us rather we should consider every adversity as a sign that Allah wants us to be grateful with whatever we have and we are experiencing. Allah never wants bad for any of His slaves, and that's a promise from Him.
May Allah make our hardships easier and help us to connect with Him. Ameen.

The Life of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) is one that everyone needs to learn about, especially how his life was before Prophethood. On my website there are articles based on just that. My website is linked below on my bio. The articles range from his Prophetic family till the Rebuilding of the Kabah. In sha Allah I will post the life of Prophet Muhammad after he was given the Revelation by Allah (swt). Follow @ambassadorsofislam
Prophet Muhammad (pbuh), despite of being the perfect man in history of humanity and had the knowledge that he would be in Paradise, was always humble while standing before Allah and obeyed every single guidance of Him without question. He repetend to Allah every single day, even though he knew he never made any mistake or committed any sins. What does that this mean to us and why is this Hadith of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) is an important reminder to us?
The Hadith is eye opening because we are no one to say or even think that “I am perfect” or that “I am surely going to Jannah,” because we do not know which single unconditional sin committed in this world can lead to the Fire in the Hereafter, and the Prophet was never arrogant himself.
Notice the hadith clearly: the Prophet did not say “even I repent to Allah…”, instead he showed his humbleness and said that “I repent to Allah…”, which shows that he is giving us away one of the key to ways to open the doors of Jannah, which is indeed repenting to Allah 100 times a day.
The Hadith is not only shared by Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) because he is the greatest man on Earth and wants to reveal what he did on a daily basis, but because he wants us to remember Allah and have easy path on the Day of Judgement. This is because Muhammad (pbuh) knows that Allah loves those who his follows Sunnah, ways and mannerisms.
The Prophet is also advising us to do something that everyone can do regardless of age, race, sex, nationality, location etc, because it is free and really beneficial both spiritually and psychologically. Repenting to Allah makes us free minded, peaceful, tranquil and humble before Him. It makes us remember that whatever good He has given to us, and whatever He has taken away from us for our good.
Will you start repenting to Allah every day 100 times just like the Prophet?
May Allah make it easier for us to follow the footsteps of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh). Ameen.
