You don’t want to miss a special installation of student work by students in SBMA’s Emerging Teens Program on view through December 12 outside the Museum’s Family Resource Center! 💫 This free program is for students aged 12-15 with a passion for art, a curiosity for learning in a museum environment, and a craving for new experiences with artists and peers. Inspired by the “The Mariners’ Grand Staircase (Armoured Stars, Flying Clouds)” installation, students worked with artist April Street to learn about the process of making her 3-dimensional paintings. Over the course of the remaining five classes, the Emerging Teens created sketches using rhythmic lines, associated them with mood and emotions, did color studies, then recreated their sketches as soft sculpture paintings. Come and check out works by these young artists today! https://www.sbma.net/learn/emergingteen
One of my absolute favourite places in the world ❤️ If you didn’t know already Darwin Designs comes from Charles Darwin! Firstly because damnnn I love this place but also I knew when I started my little biz that I didn’t have a clear style like most illustrators so my work would always be evolving! 🦖🦍💃🏻 I totally missed the boat on the start of #justacardweek and I have no idea of the prompts but hopefully this gives you a little more insight into my little indie biz!
