Before your next sprint session (30s and under, 35spm+) try a few rounds of 10-20 Banded Pulls to work on speed through the end of your stroke.
DO NOT row frequently or for distance using this method!
Week two down. For the majority of the week I didn’t do insanity, but I went to the gym for hours and got stronger and better everyday instead. I was able to push myself to places I’ve never been. Including reaching 415 lbs on the leg press. I got different reactions when I told my friends that; some people congratulated me, some people told me I was crazy, and some people made it about themselves & said they’d never do that. Most of those last certain comments came from men. I wondered all weekend why it would have been “badass” if a guy pushed himself and did 415, but for me it was considered “crazy.” I thought a lot on what my friends said and it began to make me feel like I shouldn’t have shared what I thought was a major victory. But as the week came to an end and I finally got to rest today after working out seven days in a row, I thought, it doesn’t matter what they think, it matters what I think. I did something I couldn’t before this week, I put in more work at the gym this week than I have in the last two years and I’m fucking proud. Celebrate your accomplishments with people who genuinely care and support you, as for everyone else, leave them in the nose bleeds. Squats are such an amazing exercise allowing you to utilize all kinds of muscles through out your body. Using a wider stance and controlling my form I was trying to get some great activation from the hammies and glutes. 📸: @brittelvins

she found her solace in books and good coffee. It doesn't matter the book, it's either a fascination in a new world or a collection of knowledge to absorb. This time, she's reading about hygge, a Danish practice that she's trying hard to implement into her daily life and, in this moment, she's feeling it. although the summer isn't here and it's not quite warm outside, she's wrapped herself in the coziest of clothing and reads and sips while watching the wind manipulate the trees. Her dog, her closest companion, snores gently from his cloth sack bed in the corner. It may be chilly where she sits, but her heart is warm ✨
