Well, it depends on your squat technique. If you squat more vertical, you would look more ahead, at a wall and if you squat with a body lean, you would look more at the floor.

This keeps your cervical spine in a neutral position, keeping you safe and powerful. I would also recommend you to focus on one spot to look at during your set to improve your balance. This is why you should tell the guy curling in the squat rack in front of you while you squat to leave the gym.

So basically, there's no magic angle where everyone should look at. Try multiple angles and see what works for you the best! -

I’m this happy that gaining phase is here. It’s that time of the year where the gains are being achieved and it’s time to put in the work. Here’s the plan from October 22nd 2018 - May 30th 2019:
• current weight: 175lb (80kg)
• weight goal: 210lb (95kg)
• 85-90% clean eating
• cheat meals: 1-3/week (if desired but who wouldn’t, right? 😏😋)
• slow & steady gaining process (we want as much muscle mass as possible) so 2-4lbs (1-2kg)/ month.
• heavy duty lifting
• have fun
• Tons of food 🥘 🍕🥗🥞🥩🍠🥑🍳🍛🍚🍣🍦🍭🍪🍩🍕🍕

We went out to support our good friend Jason this morning at the @f.i.t.challenge trail race

Not only did Jason complete his first multi-lap race (each lap is 3.1 miles). He completed five laps (15.5 miles)! .

We went out to support our good friend Jason this morning at the @f.i.t.challenge trail race . Not only did Jason complete his first multi-lap race (each lap is 3.1 miles). Workout may have many variations, depending on your goals. Here’s two common types.

When you focusing on gaining strength and want to lift some impressive weights, your plan has to be managed for that. Focus on less workout in week, let’s say 3-4 and more effort. Resting period would be probably longer than normally, you aiming for good regeneration for the next sets. Because of that you can use heavier weights. . 
In the other hand, aiming for hypertrophy you should go for more workouts per week, let’s say 4-6. Testing period would be different. You will need recovery for next sets but weights should be lighter so. Focus on contract your muscle and squeezing. .
Both trainings also mostly depend on your specific diet. You can’t gain weights when you will not have enough nutrients for example. .

#repost @pelvicguru1 Sarcopenia has been defined as an age related, involuntary loss of skeletal muscle mass and strength. Beginning as early as the 4th decade of life, evidence suggests that skeletal muscle mass and skeletal muscle strength decline in a linear fashion, with up to 50% of mass being lost by the 8th decade of life [1]. Given that muscle mass accounts for up to 60% of body mass, pathological changes to this important metabolically active tissue can have profound consequences on the older adult. The consequences of sarcopenia are often severe in older adults, as the strength and functional declines associated with sarcopenia can in turn contribute to a number of adverse health outcomes, including loss of function, disability, and frailty [2,3,4▪]. Sarcopenia is also associated with acute and chronic disease states, increased insulin resistance, fatigue, falls, and mortality [5–7]. Of the chronic disease states, sarcopenia has been especially associated with rheumatologic conditions, especially rheumatoid arthritis (RA) in women [8].

Strength training in the elderly (>60 years) increases muscle strength by increasing muscle mass, and by improving the recruitment of motor units, and increasing their firing rate. Muscle mass can be increased through training at an intensity corresponding to 60% to 85% of the individual maximum voluntary strength. Improving the rate of force development requires training at a higher intensity (above 85%), in the elderly just as in younger persons. It is now recommended that healthy old people should train 3 or 4 times weekly for the best results; persons with poor performance at the outset can achieve improvement even with less frequent training. Side effects are rare.

Progressive strength training in the elderly is efficient, even with higher intensities, to reduce sarcopenia, and to retain motor function.

At the end of the day everyone no matter what age should take on some form of resistant training, have good nutrition and quality sleep. Start early to stay young and resilient forever.
