This evening finds us between Sandusky and Cleveland, Ohio. We had breakfast with our driveway surfing hosts, Diana and Greg, and then met my son Jon and his girlfriend Kaylee at Eastern Market in downtown Detroit. It's an old favorite for Jon and I, but there was little happening this Father's Day (and Sunday), and the 95 degree temps didn't encourage whole lot of exploration. We walked around a bit and saw lots of new murals on many buildings in the immediate area. We wish we could have bought some fresh fish, or a bunch of veggies, but most shops and very few food vendors were open. We sallied forth along Lake Erie, and have landed, for the moment between Sandusky and Cleveland. We will venture a bit further and stick for the night. Tomorrow we will see Cuyahoga Valley National Park! 😁😉 #vanliving#roadlife#offwego#detroit#mural#muralart

We couldn’t help but steal this image from artist and ground muralist Katy Casper, showcasing her new piece “Rainbow Road Chroma Code” located at Lamar Station Plaza. It’s art and it’s a game!! Super rad. Come check out over 70 installations along the newly minted 40 West ArtLine.
#CheckArtOut ! For the start of the World Cup 2018 this week, we decided to celebrate our own way: we interviewed 10 of our artists, from 10 different countries, and asked them about their predictions for the championship, and their relationship to football and sports as artists. One of the interviewees is the fantastic @edis1official who made a mural to celebrate his own country's football team - Portugal. What about you, how are you celebrating?
Check Edis’ profile for the full video, and our blog post in the bio to hear our artists’ stories about the World Cup!
I love this tribute to Jackie Robinson by @fluke.art of @ashopcrew!
I learned about Jackie in third grade and have had so much respect or him. He was Major League Baseball's first black player. As an American athlete, he endured racism and hatred as he tried to break the color barrior in the sports world. The people of #Montreal welcomed and supported him when he played for the Montreal Royals.
