Hey #PlexPeople !
Without further ado, we present to you the glory of our back patio mural. This project could not have been possible without the myriad of talented artists that helped bring it to fruition. We’d like to thank @sitcdetroit for providing a colorfully-stellar back-drop, Jose and Liliana for their drawings, which set the inspiration for this painting and lastly, @extraelbowsart for referencing their original drawings and creatively tying them together.
It may have taken us all summer, but hey, there’s still plenty of time to enjoy good food and drink and welcome in the change of seasons out on our patio, fall in full swing, with the gorgeous backdrop of our new mural.
Let me make it abundantly clear how flippin’ excited I am to have the artist behind some of my favorite murals... on the next episode of #makingwayspodcast . You’ll hear Nathan Richard Phelps’ backstory, his artist journey, the dollars and cents of ‘making it’ creatively, and the vision that propels his work... all in our next episode. Can’t wait to share this one y’all. Subscribe to get it in your eardrums first 😌

Union Market is always a good idea 🖤
I’ve been feeling pretty overwhelmed this week trying to balance my courses in law school, my extracurricular activities, and my personal life.
I had planned to meet a friend for lunch at Union Market today. When it was time to leave my apartment, I started to panic because I still had some work to get done. Despite feeling completely defeated, I took some deep breaths and made it. These words caught my eye as I walked towards the entrance, and I’m SO glad they were there.
Today, I received a much needed reminder that we are all stronger than we think we are. Sometimes, you just need to take a step back and R E L A X. This post is for anyone else who needed the same reminder today. You got this. 💫🙌🏼
Love finding cool graffiti/street art! I’ve always had such an appreciation for unique art like this as each piece is a small reflection of the artist themselves and Because it takes some crazy talent to create something as rad as this piece! If anyone in the area knows the artist please tag them!
Thank for the pic @ amandajwallace
