Party season is well and truly here and it can be hard for new mums. Is it the first evening you’ve left your baby, maybe you’re worried about having a drink or like me you just don’t fit into any of your clothes? ⠀

It can be tough leaving your little One for the first time, I’ve found it’s often easier to choose a family member or close friend that first evening but if that’s not an option make sure you meet someone first. That’s 17lbs in Three months.. Well, technically more than that but not including what I lost the first six weeks after having Jaz as that was ‘baby stuff’! It took me two years to get to this point after having Indi...and I actually had more to lose this time!!
So chuft...just five months post buba...yay :)) What I’m more pleased about is how bloody energetic I feel...I’m like bouncing tiger this morning 😆🤩
Morning exercise is my thang. I love getting up and getting it done but with kids its been challenging finding the right time that suites the fam.
In the last month I have managed to get in three am sessions during the working week as we have tried a new routine that works for our kids and our lifestyle.
This has meant we have had to change a few other things to accommodate this - but it’s been so worth it!
My tips for anyone wanting to add an AM workout in is to be organised the night before, for instance I pick the kids clothes out and have them ready to put on as soon as the bathroom routine is done, be prepared to get up earlier than you would like - I’m up and dressed in my gear before the kids wake so there is no extra delays and my last tip would be don’t stress about getting in a huge workout from the start. It’s going to take a good couple of weeks before this new routine finds it way but things will be become easier.

The power of our mind is absolutely extra ordinary and we can change our diets and exercise routines but without changing our MINDSET it’s a bit pointless. Check the points below:

💕When we take a placebo pill we BELIEVE it will help us and it does. 💕Likewise when you BELIEVE in something negative like “your back is killing you”. Well guess what your back is killing you. Nocebo effect.
💕Speak life not death into your life. 💕If you want to get biblical life and death is in the tongue so watch what your progress over your life also others lives as you send out negativity to others it will go right back to you 10 fold (so bare that I’m mind).

I’m not saying momentum is bad, just not very effective for working your tummy muscles and/or keeping a full set of teeth in your mouth 😬 -
❌ Think ‘more reps’ means better
❌ Swing your arms like a banshee
❌ Don’t spend too much time doing sit ups anyway, there are far quicker ways to get the ‘flat tummy’ you want -
✅ Slow the movement down
✅ Use abdominals to lift chest
✅ Include in your programme alongside other ‘big’ exercises such as squats, push ups, planks if you want to sculpt that sexy bod’ of yours effectively -
3 sets of 10-12 reps should be more than enough if performed correctly.

Weighed myself for the first time today since giving birth six days ago and I was pleasantly surprised! I only have a stone and a half to be back to me pre-pregnancy weight. I suspect that I have a slight diastasis recti but I plan to work on this once it’s safe to do so. Slowly but surely getting my butt back into the swing of Gym, I took about 2 months off as I’ve been having a rough time, slowly going back again aiming for 3 times a week for now. I’ve missed it! I felt soo nervous going back on my own today as my friend couldn’t come. But glad I did and I felt so good after!
Boy clothes... anyone else struggle with these? Girls I’m all over, and I love dressing Liv but I’ve found dressing a baby boy hard. You want them to look cute but not baby, trendy but not try hard and male but without cars, dinosaurs or tractors covering every inch of them! ⠀
I did a big order from la Redoute recently using the 40% off code and I’m loving their stuff. This sweatshirt has button detail but hidden underneath are poppers! We have other jumpers that are actually wrap cardis... any other good, unexpected shops for baby boys I should check out?
