These guys are my 🌍. .
I couldn’t imagine my life without them... it all begun with the tiniest of cry, to them bellowing for food, or to be held, the sleepless nights and the concerns about whether you are doing it right and comparing yourself to every other mother and realising that every one else is also just winging it... .
The terrible twos and the potty training, the tantrums and the concerns about whether you are doing it right and comparing yourself to every other mother and realise that every one else is also just winging it... .
Their first day at school and hoping they make friends hoping their new shiny shoes don’t rub and the concerns about whether you are doing it right and comparing yourself to every other mother and realise that every one else is also just winging it... .
Their first time on a bike without stabilisers, hoping they don’t get hurt when the fall because they will fall but it is our job to pick them up, brush them down and send them on their way.... .
My children are growing up and I still have the concerns about whether I’m doing it right, do I give them what they want, do I give them what they need, are they spoilt, do I work too much, should I spend more time at home? .
I still compare myself to every other mother and realise that every one else is also just winging it... .
This quote is from Rachel Hollis' book #girlwashyourface - and it is a truly amazing book. If you haven't read it I highly recommend you do - it is life-changing. I read this quote in it and it really resonated with me as comparisons are something I am working on. I am getting better at "not comparing" - but it is something I am continuing to work on everyday. Self development really never ends! Happy Friday everyone 🙌
I’d proven that maturity, experience, dedication, and ingenuity can make up for a little senescence. Muscle tightening is not the only thing that happens to our bodies over time. We gain knowledge, focus, and understanding, and those things can help us win… I’m also aware that setbacks have an upside; they fuel new dreams.
Next time when you say ”I am too old to run, lose weight or lift weights’ remember that age is just a number and it should never hinder you from accomplishing your goals and dreams...💫
A cheeky bird to start your day - HAPPY FRIDAY 💜 ⠀

So after Elodie being efb for the last 3 months, I'm finally going to start building up a little stash so her daddy can feed her and take some of the pressure off of me. I haven't started until now as I struggle to find the time but as this one from @nubyuk doesn't have to be plugged into a mains, it's completely portable so I plan on pumping in the car when we're going places, no pumping and driving don't worry. Craig's the driver.
What’s that I see coming??? Oh yes it’s the weekend, which means we are ticking off another week in the summer holiday calendar!! This weekend we’ve got diner reservations at @the_cosyclub in Guildford where I’m really hoping they have mojitos on the menu as I’m missing my cocktail fix since coming back from my hols. Here’s hoping the kids are back on form tomorrow so I can debate for the morning where and where I can’t be arsed to take them - is that wrong? I can’t be done with soft play, can’t be bothered getting wet, can’t bear playdoh, anyone else running out of ideas for the summer holidays?!? 🤷🏻♀️
Discussing the dinner that they then went on to NOT eat 😑
Well Ben ate everything but the aubergine and Sean just ate the noodles 🙄
They also went through the book pointing out what they liked the look off. I have a feeling that they wouldn’t eat it if I actually gave it to them.
Well Ben probably would give it a go, he’s pretty good for trying stuff now 😅
Said he could have a pick next time I’m making a meal plan which put a smile on his face.
Boys both got their back to school haircuts and I got all their uniform ordered. @marksandspencer have free nominated day delivery for school clothes. Which was just as well since their standard delivery wouldn’t be here on time 🙈 left it a little late.
I also still need to get Sean a bag. I thought I’d managed to persuade him away from a PJ Masks bag for an emergency vehicles one, which he came back to change his mind to a construction vehicles one. And then he came back again and said he wanted PJ Masks but couldn’t decide which 😩
He has bags but he’ll probably get a PJ Masks. I’m just being a bit of a snob 😂 the other ones are just so much prettier.
Think it just reflects the direction my parenting has gone and how much I didn’t want it to go this way 😂
Can you come a little bit quicker please September. The kids are doing my fucking head in. No, seriously they are. And the rain today....🤯🤯🤯😭😭😭 #CantWaitForSchoolToStart
Thanks for this shot @thelaststopforthecurious 🖤
