How ever you feed your baby is YOUR business. Breast, bottle, both. And when weaning time comes along - puree, self feeding or both - it's all good as long as you and baby are happy. I've done both puree and baby led weaning with my 2 girls. I enjoyed both to be honest but found baby led weaning with my 2nd so much easier. I definitely wanted to go down the same route with Thoren but until quite recently while he enjoyed eating by spoon he wasn't really putting food to his mouth. Thankfully a new tooth has meant suddenly everything goes into his mouth so as I continued to keep finger foods while spoon feeding I noticed more and more being picked up and now - actually eaten. The benefits I noticed of baby led weaning is- 1.less faff than pureeing 2. less cost as baby eats what the family eats so you don't need to purchase specific baby foods 3. Baby eats proper food quicker so straight into normal family meals 4. Baby gets used to a bigger variety of foods and textures. There are disadvantages too of course. It's messy. Very very messy but things like this wonderful @tidy_tot bib tray make that less of a concern. There is also the gag reflex and choking factor but I can say that gagging is normal and totally different to choking. If you want more information on Baby Led Weaning check out the "bible" by Gill Rapley. ☆
HOW TO CLEAN PLAY-DOH STUCK IN YOUR CARPET EASILY!
Imani got some @playdoh for her birthday. .
She loves it! ❤️
But it’s taken cleaning to a whole new level with Play-Doh stuck in everywhere!!! 🤦🏽♀️
The carpet, the sofa, up the stairs you name it I’ll find it!
I made the fatal error of trying to clean it up immediately with soapy water thus smudging it in even more and spreading it even further! 🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️
Anyway now I’m some what of a ‘play-doh removing expert’ with all the practice I’ve had of late and this is what works best for me.

At the Mustela event on Wednesday with @Kavitacola. I’ve been recommending Mustela as a baby product since the mid 90’s and my favourite products are the cold cream which is great for exposed cheeks during the winter months and the cradle cap range.
Mustela products also smell amazing!
Capas a vos no!
Mi amiga karoncha es la uno en cursos de auto maquillaje. @mami.make.up. Asi que so tenes dudas. Me la llamas a la karoncha! .
Por otro lado siempre encontrar productos buenos. Que cuiden mi piel! Y que sirvan!
Y yo hoy preferí poner trompa Rose!
Amo amo!! .

I tend to avoid green (and blue) in my clothing, as it often clashes with my glasses. But, I fell in love with this @didymos_babywearing Meh Dai we were loaned by @itsaslingthing! I think having multiple shades helps my glasses blend in rather than clash. We loved this so much, that we bought our own (different colour, as it was on offer).
I’ve got lots of ideas for babywearing content on my blog. I’m also thinking about how and where to explain the different options I use (and why). What would you like to know about babywearing?

When buying bows for Lily and Eloise I always found they never quite fit well, either too tight, too loose, uncomfortable or left marks on their little delicate heads. So, I have just discovered 20 denier stockings work really well! Just chop straight across so you get a loop then sew on a bow 🤗 I used the bows from other headbands I had a already bought. They’re really soft and don’t leave marks on the girls heads 🙌
This is how mummy keeps me busy when shopping 😂😅😉👌🏻
.....1 happy face...2 happy face....3..
Honestly, Bella is such an active kid and always needs attention or something to do. I have to keep her busy, otherwise she gets bored. If I don’t do this or sing with her 😅, then my shopping trip would be a whole lot different 😅
Do you have the same issue, if so, what’s your trick? 😉

I recently realised that I stopped having many photos taken with my kids a while ago because I don’t feel comfortable with how I look, so I’ve tried to make an effort to change that. Today, a day before the anniversary of my Mums death, it struck me. These photos aren’t for me. They’re for them. Knowing what it’s like to not have the opportunity to have photos with your Mum anymore & having many of the past ones taken away in a fire, I have a message for my Mumma friends- keep having photos taken with your kids. Some day that’s all they’ll have to remember you by & they will see you as beautiful even if you don’t. ❤️

Studies have shown baby massage to have a wide range of benefits such as: strengthening attachment, baby weight and length gain, increased bone mineral density, better sleep, increased frequency of bowel movements and reduction of colic and infant stress.
A class can be very useful to learn the basic principles and increase your confidence. However, new parents can often face barriers to attending classes such as transport, cost and time. Below are some hints and tips for those wanting to start baby massage.
Time: choose a time when baby is content and interested in what is going on, not when they are tired or hungry. After bath and before bed is often a good time.
Positioning: lay baby on their back where you can have good eye-contact on a mat on the floor, bed or sofa if a good choice, baby can be nappy free or in a loose nappy, make sure baby is warm and that the lighting isn’t too bright. Baby massage is a joint task, not something ‘done to’ baby.
Massage technique. - Before touching your baby start talking to them in low soothing tone, and make a sign for massage of rubbing your hands, at this point you can see if your baby is happy for a massage or if you should try a different day. - Make sure if using an oil use one that is safe for your baby’s skin and if it was to get into their mouth such as olive oil or vegetable oil. Babies under 1 month should not have oil used on their skin. - When massaging your babies arms or legs, always support the ankle or wrist with one hand. - When massaging your babies tummy with a circular motion, go clockwise rather than anti-clockwise. - If your baby becomes upset or falls asleep, stop massaging. - Try a few minutes at first then you can build up as your child gets more used to the sensation.

Do I dare say it? Do I dare think it??? Another great night again! This chick is on a roll!!! Went to bed at 8pm and fell asleep before I had 3pages of a story down. Woke for a drink during the night and straight back to sleep again. Words really can't describe how happy I am, it makes those bad night's totally worth it.
Thinking about it, I think letting her become more comfortable in her own room has really helped, letting her play in her room on her own and have her own space to play has let her see being alone is fine. I am beyond proud! She's coming on leaps and bounds😊
Another great night! Woke for a drink and straight back to sleep again. I feel like i have won the biggest battle of my life! Before I start counting my chickens, I want to get the weekend over and then play it night by night for the next while, I am taking nothing for granted and enjoying it while I can. No more midnight questions like 'mummy why do people wear glasses' or 'how many colours are there' (I hope)
The progress she has made is really making me proud. She's went from my sticking plaster in bed to being happy enough just to call me for a drink and a kiss and falling back to sleep in her own room which really felt like it wasn't going happen anytime soon. #myhappygirl#sleeptraining#progress#sleepisfortheweakapparently#forevertired#finallygettingsomewhere#proudmummy#tiredmummy#mummytips
NIGHT 4.... Look at thay happy face! Well what a night! We had the best night so far! Lucy asked for bedtime we read our stories, kissed goodnight and there was no little feet hitting the floor until 1.30am. We got back into bed had a drink, snuggled down and that was her until 5.50am!
Could not believe my eyes, I don't know if it was tiredness had finally caught up or she's actually getting the hang of it, or an absolute one off but I don't care!
I really needed that to give me a boost that I'm seeing progress and she may finally be getting her head around it! But I feel like a new woman today. When you have sleep you literally feel like you can take on the world!💪 I know it's only one night of good sleeping but I literally feel like I am doing it right and hopefully tonight is the same!! #tiredmummy#sleepisfortheweakapparently#sleeptraining#forevertired#progress#mummyiswinning#happyus#mummytips#mummylife
NIGHT 3...... So last night began great again, asked for bedtime, done the usual routine, stories, chat and kisses. And then it all went wrong.......I've began to notice that between 12-3 is the most consistent time she wakes. And it is constant! The night before it was every hr, last night was every 30-40 mins which then continued to 4.30am. Throw in a wetting the bed incident too just to make the night more fun.
I'm feeling abit underwhelmed with it all today (which is probably the tiredness kicking in to be fair) but tonight I can just hope tiredness catches up with her and she gets a better night's sleep tonight. Honestly the kids is a machine, how she keeps going I will never know! Me on the other hand......5 hours maximum sleep and working a 12 hour day is not easy.....pass me caffeine!!! *the books above are our favourite books at the moment, #beforeyousleep is the sweetest book it's written by a dad who lost his son suddenly and lists how much he loves him (prepare for tears) #ivelostmykisses is the sweetest story. (Lucy's favourite)
NIGHT 2... So last nights sleep training did not go as Well as the first night. Up multiple times between 12-3am. Consisted of alot of running back and forward to our room, tears, 'mummy I need you' and me falling asleep on the bedroom floor 🙈 she started off so well too which is extremely frustrating. We went to bed at her request, read our 2 stories, kissed good night and I left room to get Reece to sleep and by the time he was asleep she was already over (within 10 mins) in fairness I knew it was too good to be true! We got to 11.58ish then it all began.
So tonight #night3 will be interesting as I'm starting to feel myself get more tired as the night time drama goes on. But still we solider on!! And I whisper to myself on the bus heading to work it will all be worth it💪
So this is what I'm up to this week......last night was our first night at 'sleep training' Lucy has NEVER been a great sleeper from the day she was born she never had much interest in sleep. We've tried several things and have just never found the one that works...so fast forward 3 years later and a little brother in the mix, honestly the staying in her own room all night just hasn't been a priority. Our usual night time routine consists of get to bed read a story, cuddles, chats and eventually sleep and then at some stage during the night she appears in our bed. So since nursery is around the corner I have decided, Enough is enough. #sternmummyface
Last night in fairness went alot better than I thought. No tears, no tantrums, just endless return trips back to Lucy's bed. But we got through the first night. I may look like a zombie but we did it. Tonight maybe a different story who knows!! Any suggestions, tips or thoughts are greatly appreciated!! #sleeptrainingsucks#threenagers#mummytips#parentinglife#sleepisfortheweakapparently#sleeplessnights
We are loving all your amazing messages and photos. THANK YOU! This has made our week...and it’s only Monday 😉 “Hi, so I was a bit sceptical about buying your product as personally I couldn't see how a baby could drink out of a cup and why you'd want them to! Anyway I decided to give it a shot after struggling to get smoothie out of a sippy cup! Anyway my daughter loved it and got the hang of it pretty much straight away! I couldn't believe it! My mum was amazed as she said she struggled getting my younger brother to drink out of a cup until he was about 3! After doing my research I realised it's actually very beneficial for there teeth, hand eye co-ordination, independence and much more! I am 100% converted to the baby cup and 100% recommended it to all my baby friends! Isla Rose also loves her big girl cup!💖”
And so my love affair with this author continues. In the heavy depths of mummy duties (potty training to be exact), an essential piece of escapism is what's needed to prickle my curiosity and untangle me from the web of positive potty mantras. Praise be indeed!
My time and patience are tested these days, so it's imperative I get my hands on a book that will engage me immediately and hold my concentration throughout. An insightful read that captures the soul. Although I am not reading on a sunbed (those days are long gone), I am not reading an app; so progress on the brain cells and the potty are affirmative 😉📚 #lovethisbook#andthemountainsechoed @khosseini #mummylife#mummyjournal#mummyoftwo#scrapbookmum#mummyblogger#lovetoread#writtenwords#mummytips#patientmummy

Hello Beautiful People,
Sale time is certainly good news to a lot of us. It is the best time to buy quality goods that are usually pricey. When you are patient and hang on to the end of sales you even have better deals. It is risky though as you might miss out on some items. Anyway there is another sale coming so just be patient.
Similar to a To do list, it is helpful to have a Wish List and a Sale Savings. When the time comes you joyfully hit the shops and enjoy some retail therapy guilt free. Remember this is particularly useful for financially dependent spouse who are often on a tight budget. Happy Shopping.#mummytips#mommyblog#homemaker#sale#vacationshopping#Paris#Dubai#Geneva # Hong Kong #London#Abuja#lekkiwives #
