Homework 📚 or no homework? Holidays are for fun, family time and relaxing 😌. Is it too much for children or is it about finding the right balance? We clean their mess, wash, cook and the list goes on. So it’s fair that they do some work too. But for many children homework is associated with punishment. We find time for play, fun, traveling but when it comes to doing homework I hear “Nooooooo!”. They will find so many excuses not to do it. My little girl loves her homework but gradually she is becoming less enthusiastic because her big brother hates it. She says she is allergic to homework which means she can’t touch it😂🤣👍 When we have one week off school I don’t think it’s a good idea to load them with homework 📚. We all need to unwind. We don’t always need to be getting stuff done. Sometimes we need to do nothing. I don’t remember being stressed about homework at school unlike they do know. I don’t want to force them. I don’t want them to hate it! Schools are now days so competitive and focused on results rather than children’s well-being.
Apart from maths and English we have a list of books to read during the summer holidays.
What I find helpful is reading 📖 a book myself first, so we can discuss it later and exchange opinions. They see me reading and that’s a good influence. We, parents, are their first teachers after all 😉
Happy 5th Birthday princess Rose. We’ve had more arguments in the past year than I’ve had with your brother in 8 years, I’ve also been severely sleep deprived for 5 whole years. But life wouldn’t be half as fun without your crazy silly ness. Your beauty and kindness astounds me every day and I love you with my whole heart. #mumanddaughter#childlife#mumlife#mumofgirls#happybirthday#love
