Today we went to the #nctnorthliverpool Bump, Baby and Beyond event held at #CrosbyLakesideAdventureCentre . This was the first official NCT event organised post Babab that I was going to...and having heard great things about the success of the Nearly New Sale, I was excited. The event was well advertised on a variety of different platforms ensuring that regardless of whether you were an NCT parent or not, you were welcome&they would love to see you &your baby.
Babab&I arrived shortly after 10am eager to get our free NCT goodies bag - I can confirm we were successful! Immediately after entering we saw a timetable of taster sessions&after advice from a familiar face, we run along to Moo Music. It is a mix of singing, dancing&sensory activities, primarily focusing on animals you find on a farm. Babab enjoys this at first but, having played on her Baby Einstein activity mat already that morning, quickly came tired.
Looking at the timetable, @BabyBearMassage @MiniFirstAidnorthmerseyside, @Waterbabiesuk and the local dance school Aspirations Dance Academy all were providing taster sessions that morning. If you missed that, you could also find them at their respective stands for further information - which is what we did for Waterbabies.
Local businesses have come far&wide to exhibit&sell items to the residents of North Liverpool. In particular, @RenandStitchy were selling super cool bibs made from gorgeous fabrics (including Liberty prints), Emma @emmaeward5 selling beautiful Usborne children's books&Bumblebee photography promoting booking sessions to capture your little one's early days. Outside they had a pottery painting workshop where you could either hand/foot print or paint figurines. Representatives from a range of local services targeting the "bumps" &soon to be parents, were also very well received (including Breastfeeding Support Sefton & One to one Midwives).
Before you know it, it's 12pm&having chatted to a few familiar faces we head home.
Score:5/5 a well planned event&a great place to spend the morning - will be looking out for more!
@this_dad_can hopefully you could organise come to the next event as plenty of dads who would appreciate this
Some days we all need that pick me up first thing in the morning , in particular with these mornings .. am I right ?! #mumlife .
Try this simple combo to uplift your mood and add focus for your day ahead .
Diffuse 5 drops of lemon and 3 drops of peppermint . .
Or alternatively you can make a roller blend up with fractionated coconut oil , and apply throughout the day .
HAPPY MONDAY ! #doterra#essentialoils#uplifting
Babies are heat sensitive, their little bodies heat up when feeding and increase of weather temperature can cause havoc with feeding. Use cool (30-32 degrees) water for strip washes, bottom changes or a refreshing bath will help wake for feeds when you are fighting against the summer heat.
🙌🏻 Minuites from Sunday!!! Firstly, here’s Homegirl Daisy repreZenting @florafairweather Secondly, I still have the pink Mama Blankie on the right of my washing line in my Stories for £40, Thirdly, you have ONE more day only to win the pastel Pom Pom blankie also in my Stories, Fourthly, some really nice things happened to me today & one annoying horrid thing but the really nice things far cancelled the annoying horrid thing so that’s not in my minuites tonight! One of the most nice was that weirdly we visited the HOUSE of our dreams this morning?!!! We are 5 days away from the final certain absolute decision from the planning office so if they say no to our Tiny House plans it won’t be so bad if we had to move to the most beautiful house in the world instead!!! (Obviously you kind of have to squint a bit because it’s as much as a wreck as Rose Cottage was but let’s just say the 7 foot tall windows are a YES from me!!!) (and yes it is actually for Sale!) The last nice thing is that @gingerlillytea & I have finally planned a date so I cannot WAIT to tap our wands together & create a magical sparkle day! Do you follow her??! Anyway, no Lavender today as I was too tired to go but I think there’s about 10 bunches left in my shop! Now go get your feet up you hear me??! 🙌🏻🌈👭✨🌼💕🌸☀️ OH and Daisy is obviously laid on a @kirstykins_ quilt... before you bombard me!!! xx
Exercise during pregnancy is good for you good for your baby! But make sure you read these simple ways to keep your exercise during pregnancy safe, so you can get the most out of staying active and strong until labour... ✔️ Listen to your body if your workout feels too intense, slow down or stop.
✔️ Your ideal heart rate will vary considerably depending on your pre-pregnancy fitness levels, your age and your weight – a better indication is the talk test, don’t exercise so hard you can’t hold a conversation
✔️ Aim to maintain your fitness levels rather than looking for improvement. Don’t feel the need to run that extra mile and expect to decrease the size of your weights it’s better to use lighter weights and aim for more repetitions as your bump gets bigger.
✔️ Warming up and cooling down are key to safe exercise during pregnancy. Aim for a whole body warm up before you start and stretch out after your workout to allow your heart rate to return to normal.
✔️ Stay fuelled. Don’t exercise on an empty stomach and have an energy snack available to keep you fuelled during (or immediately after) your workout.
✔️ Drink plenty of fluid. Small sips of water are best so keep a bottle of water handy.
✔️ Keep cool. Pregnant women can overheat more easily so exercise outdoors or in an air-conditioned room wherever possible and choose suitable moisture-wicking fitnesswear
