Mezban on Ripon Street has good food which is reasonable priced. And unlike a lot of other Central Calcutta-Park Circus Mughlai restaurants, it hasn't been "discovered" by South Calcutta and gentrified (Shiraz was probably the first in that lot). Mezban, for example, still serves chai and many locals pop in only for a cup. It's still got a 90s feel to it, if you know what I mean, fellow millennials.
