Happy International Mountain Day! 🏔 We are so lucky to have a plethora of majestic mountains surrounding us! Thank you to @nicktemperli for this splendid shot of the crown jewel of the Cascades herself, Mt. Rainier! 👑😊 #MountainDay#FromTheTop
To me every day is #internationalmountainday this pic is from one of my first climbs on #mtrainier . I couldn’t have known then how much strength, resilience, and courage I’d find in remote mountainous places. But today I know that there will be lots more of it
If you are spending your Christmas in Ashford this year, we invite you to celebrate with us at Faith Baptist Church. Christmas morning services will begin early at 9 am with the singing of your favorite holiday hymns, followed by a short devotional typically out of the Gospel of Luke. After dismissal, breakfast will be served and you are welcome to stay for further festivities. Afterward, you'll have the day to head up into the snow for a frolic and return back to your cabin to rest and reminisce. Merry Christmas!
Apparently it is international mountain day! While I’m not up on the mountain, we can all remind ourselves of how fragile our mountain ecosystems are, and how majestic these silent giants are. Here’s to you Rainier! #internationalmountainday#mtrainier#idratherbehiking
Starry nights are one of my favorite things. There’s something inexplicably magical about staring up into a never ending expanse of twinkling stars, waiting patiently to catch one of them shooting by. .
The stars this weekend spreading out above Rainier were begging to be painted, and I ended up having so much fun figuring out how to capture the essence of a cold wintery sky. I will likely be making more of these...

Small town living & loving... We've been blessed to be part if this small town for almost 5yrs. I don't ever plan to move back to a large town, the community felt here is too good to pass up.
LOVE the view of our mountain.
This was posted on one of our town fb pages and I just had to share.
Happy #InternationalMountainDay !
Per the @unitednations, “Almost one billion people live in mountain areas, and over half the human population depends on mountains for water, food and clean energy. Yet mountains are under threat from climate change, land degradation, over exploitation and natural disasters, with potentially far-reaching and devastating consequences, both for mountain communities and the rest of the world.” If you enjoy getting out there and enjoying nature’s titans, especially when it’s chilly, check out @protectourwinters
