Rest Your Weary Head My Love
By William John Palmer
Rest your weary head my love, upon my beating chest
Close your eyes in slumber dear, and put your mind to rest
Know that I will be here for you, when your eyes do wake
And remember that forever more; my love is yours to take
You are my heart and soul, the very air that I breathe
Time itself forever more, could not separate you from me
For I could never live my life, without you by my side
I’d rather cry a billion tears, then have to say goodbye
Fall Leaves Fall
Fall, leaves, fall; die, flowers, away;
Lengthen night and shorten day;
Every leaf speaks bliss to me,
Fluttering from the autumn tree.
I shall smile when wreaths of snow
Blossom where the rose should grow;
I shall sing when night’s decay
Ushers in a drearier day.
