Im sitting here rewatching my graduation ceremony
It’s been 4 years since I’ve graduated and I’ve done nothing with my life
I tried to go to college dropped out because I ended up going to the psych ward quit my job 4 months ago and can’t find a new one
As I’m watching all the people I graduated with as half of them are married having children even have full blown careers
And I’ve done fucking nothing but try to kill myself lots of times and end up in the psych ward multiple times that I lost count in these 4 years
I’m honestly going to be alone forever
I’m never going to be good enough or have enough money to go to college
I’m not fucking smart enough to go to college
I really should just quit now
There’s no point not one bit
“Love is a temporary madness. It erupts like an earthquake and then subsides. And when it subsides you have to make a decision. You have to work out whether your roots have become so entwined together that it is inconceivable that you should ever part. Because this is what love is. Love is not breathlessness, it is not excitement, it is not the promulgation of promises of eternal passion. That is just being “in love” which any of us can convince ourselves we are. Love itself is what is left over when being in love has burned away, and this is both an art and a fortunate accident. Your mother and I had it, we had roots that grew towards each other underground, and when all the pretty blossom had fallen from our branches we found that we were one tree and not two.” -

Faces Places - 2017
I have finally watched an Agnes Varda film.. Faces Places .. An independent film, documentary, investigative journalism, talking about stamp collection, book reading marathon have become an old idea and are at the losing war with selfies, videos, binge watching and narcissism.. Lets get back to this movie- which is a documentarian take on how regular people in their regular life react to their own building size posters or murals in smallest and left alone-ghost villages of Paris.. The idea may sound monotonous for 2 hour flm to carry on, but it is a sugar coat to real essence of a movie which is meeting random people learning their stories, lives and giving them back something which can remind them that their life is equally worth living as compared to any other life.. something like which they would be see daily.
As the framing is simply, locations are real, characters are ordinary people - so, it is the conversations which stands out in the movie.
Agnes 88 years and JR 34 years old, sometimes they would agree and sometimes they would not but they were always together when it comes to listening to someone else's life and story.. #facesplaces#agnesvarda#paris#france#photography#love#history#emotions#happy#movies#movie#cinema#films#film#moviequotes#moviescenes#insta#instaflicks#bestdirector#bestmovie#instamovies#filmquotes#filmmaking#commentforcomment#like4likeback#message#wisdom
"The best LOVE is the kind that awakens the soul; that makes us reach for more; that PLANTS a fire in our hearts and brings peace to our minds." - The Notebook.
The Notebook movie recognises the importance of Love Plants 😄
