Wow! I actually got this for consideration because I am SAG/AFTRA I was super confused but loved every second of it. Here I was thinking it was a movie, when it was actually the last episode of a full season television series. Lol, anyhow, once I realized this I ended up binge watching the entire season in two nights. It is an amazing show! It's gritty and action packed. Can't wait for the next season. #moviegeek#awardshowseason#filmbuff#sag#watchthis
“Dead or Alive. You’re coming with me.” - Peter Weller as RoboCop.
Paul Weller and Nancy Allen, born on this day in 1947 and 1950. Happy Birthday Paul and Nancy!
As such, tonight’s viewing at the dojo is RoboCop, Paul Verhoeven’s 1987 ultraviolent sci-fi classic.
RoboCop is a smart satire of American culture of the time as well as being an awesome sci-fi action romp. Weller is brilliant, eliciting sympathy even under all of that prosthesis and Allen as Officer Lewis is a badass, progressive character for the time.
Great action, very quotable with some interesting themes make RoboCop a go to 80s classic! - Matt
What do you guys think of RoboCop?
That moment we see Carlemile.com on the big screen, I may actually lose my mind 😂. All the stories I’m developing are intellectual properties for my site. The stories can be an ebook, an article, a radio drama, a podcast, a mobile game, an episode of one of my vlogs, web series or a skit or short film. Each story I’m developing (and I got over 800) are future projects that can be adapted into a feature length film (think how Tyler Perry take his stage plays and turn them into movies and TV shows or even Condé Nast with their programming taking articles and turning them into movies and shows or what Neil Bokenkamp is trying to accomplish with Oats Studios or JK Rowling and Pottermore.com) that’s how I plan to take my projects that I’m presenting to you guys through my website Carlemile.com. No need for a middle man when you can get it straight from the source. Thank God for social media and self distribution :) So Sunday, I drop my newest short film and novella but best believe, I’m already developing the full length feature version #author#writer#movieblogger#blackbloggers#blackblogger#moviebuff#filmnerd#moviegeek#filmmaker#director#actor#writer#screenwriter#stayfocused#stayconsistent#work#grind#contentcreator#blogger#vlogger
"I made a maze because I wanted to create something." Dave Made A Maze is a comedy fantasy movie about friends going through a cardboard maze to save their friend. This movie is really entertaining. I love how original the idea is. It is very simplistic yet very creative. Because of this, the movie provides some amazing looking sets made completely of cardboard. The movie also has some great adult themes involving personal growth, existentialism, and accomplishment. But this movie has flaws. The biggest flaw questions the logic of making the maze. Why would Dave make a maze that has traps and could kill people? It is explained later but it still makes him an asshole. He also tells his friends to stay out of the maze but he has a button in it with a friend's name on it. He also says a line about hoping his girlfriend would like a dance room he made in the maze as well. By that logic, Dave guessed his friends would come in anyway which makes him more of an asshole. But at least he is sympathetic so I can't hate on him too much. The movie also uses the "let me tell you a story" trope I hate. But I love how it turns this trope on itself and I appreciate it for stopping it. Despite these flaws, this movie is really great and funny. Overall this is one creative movie that is really good. 10/10
