Exercise in any capacity is more than just working/breaking down muscles. It is a fine balancing act of regulating stress and itโ€™s impact on hormones and the central nervous system. In and of itself, exercise is a โ€œstressor,โ€ and if you relate yourself to a cup; when you overfill it with too many stressors (mental stress, overtraining, lack of sleep, lack of nutrition) that you cannot recover from, negative things start happening (swipe right ๐Ÿ‘‰๐Ÿ‘€). You only grow stronger from any aspect of stress through adaptation and increasing the stress, and the only way to increase stress and be able to adapt to increasing levels is through appropriate recovery. One way this has gotten lost in translation with modern fitness culture is that people are following their favorite fitness celebrities routines, habits, practices etc. hoping to attain similar results, not realizing that a surprising number of the these fitness celebrities are hormonally enhanced with compounds such as steroids. When you enhance certain hormones synthetically you create a buffer in recovery that cannot be attained otherwise. Hormonal enhanced people are able to adapt and recover much more efficiently than your everyday person. Yes genetics, habits etc. all individually impact people; but when you are killing stress hormones such as cortisol, estrogen dominance, hormonal fluctuations based on exercise modalities through drugs, the playing field is not level. If I have l learned anything it isnโ€™t about being perfect on this journey, everyone is different with what they do, some do low cal, no carbs, low carbs, weight watchers, Jenny Craig etc you do what is good for you, I try to not intake so many calories and eat a lot of veggies, chicken, turkey, eggs etc I also like to take probiotics and vitamin B itโ€™s just good nutrients for the body, I think one of my biggest things was drinking my calories, there was a time I drank a lot of soda, I calmed that down over the past couple years but the biggest thing was coffee! Iโ€™d get the sweetend swirl extra of that with sweetener and lots of cream and have at least 3 lg dunkin iced coffees a day! However I still drink coffee typically 1 lg ice a day cut down the cream in it and took out the sweetener I still have a little swirl in it but my point is I am pushing myself away as much as possible not being perfect with it but working on it! Everyone is different and it is okay the point is you are working on you do not compare yourself to others and the journey they are on and definitely donโ€™t give up when you arenโ€™t seeing results right away, it takes time your future self will thank you! Remember you are beautiful in the skin you are in!!But it is okay to want to better yourself and make yourself stronger! Since I started January 1st I am down 44lbs, I canโ€™t always tell a difference but people around me do especially my husband, the non scale victoryโ€™s for me have been a goal pair of pants, my wedding band doesnโ€™t want to stay on and normal clothes are getting loose โ˜บ๏ธ keep doing you and donโ€™t let anyone stop you or tell you โ€œyou canโ€™tโ€ because you can and you will!! I am loving this hot weather purely because it has got me walking again ๐Ÿšถ๐Ÿผโ€โ™€๏ธ
I am now walking half my commute into work in the morning, getting the blood pumping before I start.๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿฝ
As I work out 5-6 days a week, I am loving just going for a long walk around the common on a Sunday morning. Not only is it so quiet and serine (as much as London can be), but it also means that I won't feel guilty about spending the rest of the day on the sofa! ๐Ÿ˜
I'm really noticing the difference its made in my mood and energy levels (not to mention a perkier ๐Ÿ‘)
Healthy habit has now been formed - let's hope I can carry it on once the sun's gone ๐Ÿคž๐Ÿป

Finished class tonight at 8pm then went to the gym. Iโ€™m actually shook. I did the following:
Stretches + foam roll
10 x 3 of 26kg pull down
10 x 3 of 35kg leg pushes 
400m rowing machine
15 mins treadmill 7.5 incline at 5kph
5mins jogger machine + 2 min cool down 
Then cooked scrambled eggs with avo toast

When I write, I don't think, I feel. And what I was feeling a few hours ago was to share about my first anxiety attack at the colorful age of 13. It's not to reach sympathy from you- I don't need it. It's because I see it taking over the lives of the people I love & the world I'm blessed to be living in. I've reached this sense of vulnerability that has been helping others and I know that my darkness will resonate with some one out there. But my story is poetic and beautiful and when I'm ready to express it, I know it will help reach those that I'm meant to help. So for tonight I'll leave you with this: dance, stretch, run, walk, cycle, move your body in ways you feel like doing but often don't because you'd rather sit there and feel sorry for yourself. Our bodies are biological spacesuits here to be our best friends. Our bodies aren't not meant to be hated on, judged on, or abused. They're meant to carry us in this journey of love, creation, evolvement and adventure.
