DAY 13: SUPPORTED SIDE PLANK
Love me some side plank pose. But sometimes, we just need a lil’ support, ya know? While regular side plank is quite strengthening, supported plank allows for a lengthening side body stretch that you can feel from the hip all the way to the hand.
Once settled in the pose, lift your hips high, and press the floor away. Feel the knife edge of your back foot pushing towards the earth.
This pose opens so many acupuncture channels, including heart, pericardium, liver, and large intestine...to name a few. Breathe deep and feel ya energy flowin’.

Low impact exercising - Docs orders!☝🏽
I’m still really learning on how to listen to my body and when I feel like I’ve probably pushed myself too much or if I’m exhausted. I think for a little there I got super excited that I could start exercising again and I was definitely pushing myself more than I should have been. So light weight training or even no weights depending on how I’m feeling, and not trying to keep up with the rest of the group😂. As long as I’m still able to move my body as it’s so important to do so. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I’ve recently read an article and Dr. Prue Cormie who is an exercise physiologist for cancer patients states that “If we could turn the benefits of exercise into a pill it would be demanded by patients, prescribed by every cancer specialist and subsidized by the government. It would be seen as a major breakthrough in cancer treatment” so there ya go! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Yes we ran those steps..a few times..Killa 😅 but what I really wanted to share is how exercise used to be a chore for me, but now it's a need, I crave it and I see the value in prioritising daily movement for not only my wellness but to be able to show up and be of service in the best way possible.
The shift in my head space and motivation levels has come about due to following an Ayurvedic framework in my life and understanding the needs of my body-mind blue print and current states of inbalance and how to support them and get the most out of my exercise experience. Also I've done work on my mindset stuff and being part of a kick ass supportive on-line community of aspiring coaches has been super.
In my wellness packages which will launch in early 2019 I'll be threading all these aspects and other cool stuff into my program so you too can make some positive changes.

Today was a rough day mentally for some reason 🤷🏻♀️
Today I tried everything I normally do to pull me out of my anxiety and just random feelings of sadness. Sometimes things work, sometimes you have to just keep moving forward. •••
We went for a family walk (hence dad and Barkley picture), I got tons of laundry and some homework done, and I did my full body cardio workout. At the end of the day, I just had to choose joy and positivity. 💖
Do I feel a bit off? Yes.
Do I think tomorrow will be better? Yes.
Do I know I am loved and everything will be okay? Yes.
