Today I had my #cleanandpress session. I’m doing a 5 X 5 strength program for my Clean and Press. I’m working towards 40kg’s 👌🤩 . .
Today was my #weektwo session. I had a great session. 😍 I started at 30kg’s and then moved up to 32kg’s and did the remaining 4 sets at that weight. My wrist felt fine. 🙌 The slight increase in weight did slow me down a little but otherwise I felt #stronger 💪. .

While the core of what we teach is of course parkour, many of our coaching team have expertise in other aspects of movement methodologies and various protocols, including acrobatics, strength and conditioning, handbalancing, mobility and flexibility development, corrective exercise, etc. Any knowledge or experience in these or similar disciplines will be a bonus and will assist with your application.

It’s been a really really really long time since I have actually trained, and one of the few times I have been trained by someone who is really good at it. Meaning:
• I don’t have to be the one making modifications and catching my faulty movements.
• nothing created pain in my joints (especially my knee and back) THIS IS AMAZING. 😉 🦄 🌈 🐱 🐶 • I was cued and corrected and it felt better and highlighted some much needed faulty patterns
• the loads and reps and sets were perfect, like Goldilocks style.

The Adductor group (add-uck-tor) are the muscles on the inside of the leg. They all attach at or near the pubic bone.

These muscles also help with rotation, running, stabilization, lifting, and a whole host of other things.

The Adductor Longus (long-us) is one of these muscles.  Mainly it helps with hip flexion and adduction, but it can help with so much more!

😲😲😣Ever roll your ankle and never quite feel the same afterward? When that happens,  your body could be relying on other tissues to help provide stability at the ankle. Additionally, your whole gait (how you walk) can be changed!

I was very happy with this handstand press from the floor, and back down to croc, but that’s not what this post is about.
Watch to the end and you’ll see me roll my ankle pretty badly, and yet I’m not injured at all.
This is because I train in what is called the ‘dark zone’ a term coined by @garyward_aim.
We’ve all heard the term ‘knee over toe’ and most people I know use high ankle hiking boots to stabilise their ankles and feet while hiking.
But these ideas can actually cause more harm than good, because in the real world these ideals cannot be maintained, and your knees, feet and ankles can end up in all kinds of crazy positions.
So instead of only allowing them to move in one direction, try putting them outside their comfort zone let them experience what it’s like to be in different positions so that when it happens unexpectedly, your body is ready.
If you are interested in seeing some of the ways I let my knees, ankles, feet, and the rest of my body experience movements outside their comfort zone in a safe way then I will make a post about it in the next few days 👍👍👍

I was very happy with this handstand press from the floor, and back down to croc, but that’s not what this post is about.
Watch to the end and you’ll see me roll my ankle pretty badly, and yet I’m not injured at all.
This is because I train in what is called the ‘dark zone’ a term coined by @garyward_aim.
We’ve all heard the term ‘knee over toe’ and most people I know use high ankle hiking boots to stabilise their ankles and feet while hiking.
But these ideas can actually cause more harm than good, because in the real world these ideals cannot be maintained, and your knees, feet and ankles can end up in all kinds of crazy positions.
So instead of only allowing them to move in one direction, try putting them outside their comfort zone let them experience what it’s like to be in different positions so that when it happens unexpectedly, your body is ready.
If you are interested in seeing some of the ways I let my knees, ankles, feet, and the rest of my body experience movements outside their comfort zone in a safe way then I will make a post about it in the next few days 👍👍👍

🤔 Think how a sloppy midline and poor connection to the barbell will reduced leg drive in deadlifts and squats.

. ✳️ False grip is crucial for an efficient transition from the chin-up to the dip in your muscle-up. 💡The wrist is already set in a dip position when performing the chin-up, ensuring you pivot at the wrist, not the rings.

Been reworking my Toki this morning. When I 1st made it the posses felt rushed, like I just wanted it finish so I could have the finished product. Over time I started to see the mistakes. The longer I left them the more they bothered me untill this week when I took the time between classes and shows to sit with it and make the changes needed. Same can be said about our training really. You can be in such a rush to get that move that u forget why u wanted it in the 1st place, rush the posses and u'll just have to go back to it at a later date to tidy it up. Revaluation is great  but make sure you are working from solid foundations!

2A: Reverse Burpee + Inchworm Push up= 1 rep X 12 reps X 3 sets.
2B: BB Bent Over Row: 32kg X 15 reps X 3 sets.
3A: KB: S/L Deadlift + C&P: 12kg X 10 reps e/s X 3 sets.
3B: KB: Pullover: 12kg X 15 reps (not filmed)
4A: Tricep Push Ups: iso hold X 8 reps X 3 sets. These felt hard today! 
5A: FB: Passover: 12 reps X 3 sets.
5B: KB Swings: 16kg X 30 reps X 3 sets.

Sorry, it does if you want it just for the Gram, but F*%K I’m talking about structural integrity, confidence in motion and sovereignty in your own abilities as a functioning human. 
No one is gonna give 2 craps when your older, and you’re definitely not gonna care about what others think in your later years. 
You’ve a couple of choices, you can do this superficial exercise, that gets washed away in the sea of hashtags...
OR...
You can train your body in a way that primes you for life, with less risk of becoming an out of date medjool date with limbs, rocking around with caters and crutches.

I weigh more now then I ever have, I was always the person who struggled to put on weight when I was growing up and that’s how I got into weight training when I was 14. I wanted to create curves, and a shape as I had none.

Weight can trigger so many of us, what we see in the mirror is not a true reflection of us!

And as us women move through puberty, ovulation cycles, pregnancy, menopause...our body’s are forever changing. Therefore if we place our confidence, happiness or expression of self down to how we perceive we look we will always feel a sense of lack, or want for something else. *
My body has changed so much over this past 6 months but I have never felt such inner peace, balance and connectedness to who I am as a being and what I desire to share with you all.

This is why I love movement, from these we get to work on all the other underlying wounds, self talk and beliefs that are ready to be shifted!

I went to karaoke for a friends birthday on Saturday and before going I felt tired and cranky because I had a long work day. I am so glad I went I had just the BEST time. These friends are all comedians and I laughed and sang for hours. NEEDED THAT!

What is the diffence between a CIRCUIT CLASS and a HIT SESSION ? .

2 factors: time and intensity. 
Here’s the breakdown: 
CIRCUIT CLASS: 20-50 minutes:
-high/low moves: such as: 1. Squat 2. Mountain Climbers 3. Push Ups 4. DB bicep Curl to Shoulder Press 5. B.B. or PW Thrusters. 6. Box Jumps/Step Ups 7. Crunches 8. Burpees 9. Deadlifts 10. Kettlebell Swings. 
In this session you’d do each move for 20-45 seconds and do as many reps as you can in that time. Then you move onto the next move. The above example will take 10 minutes including breaks of 15 seconds of moving from one station to the next. -In these sessions: *the weights aren’t specific to you, *you do as many reps as you can- sometimes that is 8 reps and sometimes that’s 6 or less. Depending on the move. *you get programmed rest
*your sessions are longer -up to 20 minutes longer. *after a circuit class, depending on your fitness level- you could do some low intensity cardio like bike, row, cross trainer for about 10-20 minutes. 
HIT SESSION: 20-30 minutes MAX! -usually amrap sessions (as many round as possible)
-set reps (numbers usually don’t change)
-the weights are specific to you
-all moves are either: big compound lifts (deadlifts, chin ups, push ups, squats (all variations); or dynamic (Burpees (all variations), box jumps/jumping, kettlebell Swings, battle ropes etc). -usually only 4-6 moves that you repeat for 20-30 minutes: which creates the high fatigue factor. -no programmed rest, only the rest you take to catch your breathe. -after a HIT session, you DON’T WANT TO DO ANYTHING ELSE. Depending on the move. *you get programmed rest *your sessions are longer -up to 20 minutes longer. *after a circuit class, depending on your fitness level- you could do some low intensity cardio like bike, row, cross trainer for about 10-20 minutes. HIT SESSION: 20-30 minutes MAX! -usually amrap sessions (as many round as possible) -set reps (numbers usually don’t change) -the weights are specific to you -all moves are either: big compound lifts (deadlifts, chin ups, push ups, squats (all variations); or dynamic (Burpees (all variations), box jumps/jumping, kettlebell Swings, battle ropes etc). -usually only 4-6 moves that you repeat for 20-30 minutes: which creates the high fatigue factor. -no programmed rest, only the rest you take to catch your breathe. -after a HIT session, you DON’T WANT TO DO ANYTHING ELSE. TBH I find it tricky to describe ‘what I do’. It’s a BLEND of both ‘scientifically based’ practices & more intuitive work.  Movement, Healing, Embodiment, & Self LOVE is at the core of my therapy.⠀

To me, this right here is how I define it. My relationships. This makes me the wealthiest woman, full of abundance. You see, money comes and goes, material items don’t last forever. You want to know what does last a lifetime? Friendships, real relationships, those are what last a lifetime if you work at them..
