Rope swing BOSU step overs
2️⃣15 second rest (or pushups 😉)
Same foundation set. Slight bends in the knees and a long torso. Don’t rush the movement. Footing and posture is more key as you are utilizing multiple movements in this exercise. If the BOSU is not your thing-grab a platform instead. .

So today sucked..... it was HOT and for the first time I had some knee pain... I listened to my body and did some jogging 🏃🏼♀️ and walking 🚶♀️. At first I was feeling really bad about myself, that I wouldn’t get in the “run” I wanted to. But guess what? I was out there right? I got something in right? We NEED to speak a little more kindly to ourselves! How would I encourage someone else??? Certainly not the way I was speaking to myself!!!! If we need to listen to what our mind is saying let’s say nice encouraging things :)
Sketchy tekky line I came up with yesterday. Everything was done first try, improvised and linked together without any breaks in between, obviously. 🤷

Our 2yo Ilan has been sick these past few days, out of daycare and me out of work to stay with him. Sick doesn’t mean staying in bed though! When he was not sleeping, we went out and about, to buses, trains (his favorites!), boats and did some touristy stuff here in Sydney we don’t have time to normally do. He was obviously down but still had fun :-)
Structured training has been down to zero for me (work in the evenings) but I did manage some #simultaneoustraining : all walking has been done barefoot 👣! Costs zero time, gets me stronger feet/ankles/etc but also some decidedly strange looks 😎😂 Oh well, I’ll take the looks along with the added strenght & mobility 💪

The importance of stretching 🙆♀️🙆♂️ .

👇🏻Here are some important tips when using R.I.C.E., a common first aid treatment for soft tissue injuries:
1️⃣it is temporary. R.I.C.E. should be used only during the first ~3 days after an acute injury when the inflammatory phase is occurring. *
2️⃣it does not mean bed rest or complete immobilization. The type of rest needed is largely based on the severity and location of the injury - but it rarely means complete rest. *
3️⃣it will not fix the injury. It helps to reduce swelling/bleeding and pain management in the early stages, but it is often what the person does after this time that is most vital to tissue healing.
⏱After the inflammatory period, the injured tissue requires LOAD in order to adapt and heal most effectively. This means, if you rest the injury for a prolonged period, you are actually delaying healing rather than accelerating it! *

The videos play with the clichés of a meritocratic, consumer society. At first glance their videos seem to be a combination of exactly same traits, that they try to criticize. Yet, if one approaches “Older Talking” as a work of art, then very soon it becomes clear, that there is a deeper symbolic meaning and a variety of interpretations for every image, object and character.
