Recipe of Vietnamese pork stew with fish sauce
❤ very easy very yummy ❤
- 500g pork (belly or bacon of pork, or you can use blade or ribs...)
- water or coconut water ( I prefer using coconut water)
- 1-2 shallots, thinly sliced
- 1- 1.5 tbsp fish sauce
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 1/2 tbsp black pepper
1/ Heat the pan (or pot) with the sugar. Place the pot over low heat. When the sugar melts, wait until it brown slightly. Add the water. Then add the pork cubes, stir until they are coated.
2/ Add the fish sauce, cold water (or coconut water). I highly recommend using coconut water instead of water, it helps your dish have special flavor.
3/ Reduce the heat to low, simmer until the liquid has reduced about half, and the meat is tender ( in 1-2hours)
4/ Boil eggs
5/ Add the shallots, eggs, simmer for 5 mins before serving.
*You can fry pork before stew it with fish sauce (I always do that lol)
