📌WHAT HIKING TEACHES ME IN LIFE
I go to the mountains to challenge myself and to make like a 'step aside' from everyday routine to reflect and re-think. And this is the best way for me to grow and to develop as a person. I often compare some moments if my life to a hike. Here are just a few of my thoughts.
💭1 - Imagine your final goal before you start. Keep it all the way long!
It’s crucial to give yourself an account of why you go - what is the final goal. Because it will be a tough journey: long and exhausting passes, knee-killing downs; and the reason should be strong enough to not let you give up at these moments.
💭2 - If you think you go too slow - it means you go up.
Makes sense as in life as in mountains. We’re all in rush every day - we want to achieve more and quicker. But is the speed always an indicator of success? In mountains, you walk fast and make big steps only when you’re on a flat surface. Further conclusions are up to you ;)
💭3 - We all have the same values
Regardless of gender, age, nationality, we all appreciate being a part of a family or some soul-mates community. We all sometimes need a support and a sense of ‘home’ in any of its forms. It might be not new for you, but it amazes me every time at our hiking events. It feels so sharp then, as we all get so close. Wish you come with us to feel it too!
🌈Thanks for reading it through! And, by the way, what are you coming up with on a hike? Do you also draw any parallels to your ‘city life’?
Hugs, Kseniia 💜
