Tonight is one of those evenings full of potential that makes me go and paint. The doors are open, solar lights are wrapped round the decking like fireflies and the wind is getting up. It’s fresh out there, the sky still holds a touch of light and the mountains are calling.
Over sandwiches at a charming Santa Fe bakery, my friend Keith shared with me his compelling three week experience to summit the highest mountain in America, Denali.
As Keith shared his story, I took the journey along with him in my mind…

Feeling more called than ever before to make a drastic change for my health. Ever since inviting reiki into my life I have felt a deeper pull to things of higher vibration and have been less attracted to the things that I used to call fun. My idea of fulfillment has continued to shift as the days go by. Trying to continue to live by my old ways and habits have been so much as a slap in the face as if the universe is sending me not so subtle messages that it is time to move forward. On to bigger and better things. letting what is holding me back from my highest potential fall away. I am realizing what is truly important to me and I am realizing the things that I thought meant so much to me really don’t mean anything at all. Some of the things I used to identify my whole being with in the past I no longer even think about. It is time to let go. It is time to release the fear of change and say goodbye to who I once was to welcome in someone who cares so much more for her self and her family, for this earth and the people around her. My past means nothing more than what got me to this beautiful space I am in right now. Today, I feel relief.
Pictured here is a salad with 3 different kinds of lettuce, Swiss chard, chives, basil, pansies & cilantro all from our garden and property and the dressing is raw tahini with coconut aminos. Not shown is the mound of hemp seeds sprinkled on top 😋
The ultimate in self care. Healing waters of natural mineral springs surrounded by mountains and wildflowers.
The water found in natural hot springs contains a variety of different minerals, including calcium and sodium bicarbonate. When you bathe in a hot spring, your skin soaks in these minerals and your hydrostatic pressure rises. As this process continues, circulation and oxygen flow increases -- much like when you exercise. An oxygenated circulatory system is beneficial in keeping not only your heart, but your body's other vital organs and tissues, healthy and strong.
