@ameliadar 's POV as we chase the last rays of the sun after another day on the road. Turning up in an unfamiliar town or campsite in a foreign country after dark is never fun. It's hard to spot the terrain on the road ahead and there have been times when we were warned about thieves hiding in overgrown roadside jungles waiting for someone to take a wrong turn. Not so much in Flores though. We got to see these views every single f#$king day. This island is insanely beautiful, and the people, trusting and friendly. Aside from witnessing some brutal tribal law enforcement we've never felt threatened ourselves. Life is gooooooood!

[Day 218, 219. Hormuz, Iran. 320 km] They called Hormuz the rainbow island because of the amazing diversity of colors, the most characteristic one been the maroon. The deepest maroon we have ever seen that gets even more beautiful when meets the turquoise water of Arabian Sea. Absolutely beauty. Unfortunately, this astonishment didn't last long. The ecological disaster happening in this island (garbage everywhere, uncountable flies, quarries,…) awakened how we should start taking actions now and preserve our earth.
