Happy Friday all! Here’s your daily virtue, one that reminds us to be genuine! Often times we succumb to pressure and expectations that we forget to be ourselves, be yourself and someone that encourages others to do the same! Have a great day! 🌺🌼🌺🌼🌺🌼🌺

Long post, but worth the read. You never know who need this.
I got permission to share without putting her name.
I had been mentoring a young lady whose been struggling with a broken relationship and how her name has been tainted among mutual people they know. She went on to say how the individual keep bringing up her past on what she used to do and always find a way to speak on her in some way. She shared people turned their back on her, stop speaking to her and for no reason. She stated some formed opinions and judgement on her without truly knowing her off what someone else said. 🌿
This in turn left her feeling depressed, unable to go out in public with being afraid she’s being watched all the time. She felt as though she had to fight and defend her character all the time. 🌿
I will share with you some of what I used to help facilitate her back to where her roots are. In life you will go through seasons that will branch off where it may be full of light, some darkness, gray areas, cold at times. But when you’re Rooted you can weather the seasons when they come and go.
Your foundation gives you your strength and perseverance to push through those seasons of life. Now it won’t be easy, but your roots are in Christ. Knowing whose you are. 🌿
When you are helping someone get through difficult seasons of life, the best way to do it is through transparency. I shared with her how I too have been through many tough seasons and there are more to come. Seasons change. 🌿
I shared with her how I was betrayed, lied upon, my past was thrown out there and was made out to be someone I knew I was not or ever was. It was a tough season, but what I did not do was defend myself, I didn’t try to correct what was said or done. I never spoke a word about what was being done or said. I kept quiet, prayed and allowed God to vindicate me. 🌿
You see, God does a better job at what we could ever do. You never have to respond or defend lies or gossip. 🌿
I shared with her forgive, move on. Walk in LOVE even with the one who hurt her. That doesn’t mean you have to forget but you must LOVE. Forgiveness heals.
