Some people may wonder, if God is all forgiving, why does He send people to hell? The answer is, God doesn't send people to hell at all. On the contrary, people truly want to go there. The truth, the terrible truth, is that for many people hell is the only possible alternative. You see, salvation for them, has become repulsive. Temptation can come in forms that are not obvious or easily discernible. Our own capacity for self deception makes a cocky attitude decidedly inappropriate. For example... "Be calm but vigilant, because your enemy the devil is prowling round like a roaring lion, looking for someone to eat". (1 Peter 5:8) so when you are pushed or strained or sorely tempted to sin, remember with humility that you are capable of (blowing it) and turning your back on God. That is the road to hell. But, if you are tempted and overcome your temptation you are glorifying God and if you truly repent of your sins, you shall receive your holy crown. Not only that you are glorifying God by overcoming your temptations, but your also growing in holiness.
It is a port city and naval base in the Murcia region of southeast Spain. Founded by the Carthaginians around 220 B.C., the city boomed during the Roman period.
Throughout the centuries & lifetimes we’ve had our holy women taken from us, distorted, belittled, hidden & falsified.
As women we carry the gnosis of these women and their journeys of inspiration within us.
Mother Mary mother of Yeshua, A’isha the wife of Muhammad, Mary Magdalene the Beloved of Yeshua, Miriam sister of Moses...the list goes on.
All these women are hidden by the patriarchal constructs which govern religion, our world.
As women are rising so too is the deep remembrance of our holy women, in all traditions. They all carried keys for the Divine Feminine, sparks of revelation which are waiting to ignite.
Thank you to the sisters who are rebirthing this wisdom into the world 🌹
Haha Yes it’s a lazy eye 👁 but I lift more than you 😉
Anyways before a lot of us speak against fallen priest or bishops and past popes we have to ask ourselves “ if God came to judge us this very moment , will I be ready?” ... we all fall bros and sisters question is if you are willing to get back up and helps others
Did you go to church today ? Did you skip leg day ?
A mother Mary I did for @thomasdollbaum ‘s birthday 💘💚 💛
My mom just told me the other day she was convinced I was going to be a pastor. Growing up in Florida I went to a borderline hippie Lutheran Church in the woods, and I was obsessed with theology. I remember going up to the altar after service and eating the rest of the Hawaiian bread we used and then dipping my finger tips in the still hot wax. I also remember going to mosques and synagogues during confirmation, because our pastor wanted us to be confident in our decision to be Lutheran. I ran around barefoot through palm trees, and played the role of Jesus in our production of a silent clown musical “Jesus Christ Superstar” set to the music of Cat Stevens. (!!!!!) 💛
All this to say look at this mother Mary and don’t ya love some pop art religious iconography! And isn’t it crazy I was all geared up to be a pastor!! 💛
👼 In paradisum deducant te Angeli; in tuo adventu suscipiant te martyres, et perducant te in civitatem sanctam Jerusalem - from the liturgy of the Requiem Mass.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⛪️ This is the Madeleine, where Fauré premiered his Requiem. I made it here just before leaving Paris today. Does going to a Latin nuptial mass fulfil the Sunday obligation? Especially since I rolled into bed at around 5am. 💤

27. I could've just stopped sinning, repented, and made reparations, mending my ways, and God would have manifested himself in my life much sooner. It happens all the time to others, there's many ways He can accomplish this; certainly not limited to my ideas of how he should "act." 28. It's a miracle that you and I were born in the first place, that you and I now get to walk this great, beautiful, planet in some semblance of awareness. That breath you just took right now – it's a miracle too, the fact that the sun doesn't just simply burn out like a coal in your charcoal grill, that's an even greater miracle. I simply can't take things like these for granted any longer. How can I know? By exploring faith and reason alike; studying within a mindset of faith and reason have revealed truths I had been ignoring.
29. In the movie "God's Not Dead" (2014), the protagonist, a talented freshman college student, a Christian, refuses to sign the requisite class statement "God is dead" and is permitted to instruct his indifferent classmates and atheist philosophy professor factual scientific research proving man can know, by reason alone, God exists. Just the scientific facts!
30. Ok, the contemporary physicist, Dr. Stephen M. Barr does it superbly in his book "Modern Physics and Ancient Faith.” It is the mission of modern-day apologists and scholars alike “in the plethora of words, to make the essential words heard" said Pope Benedict XVI.
31. Maybe St. Edith Stein (1891-1942, Jewish Christian, philosopher, and Carmelite nun, concentration camp victim), said it the best when she wrote "All that is said about God presupposes something said by God." 32. And so God, in the fullness of time (Ephesians 1:9), became man: Jesus Christ, God and man, divine and human -becoming one of us to REVEAL certain truths.
