I felt like this was the perfect quote to describe my training session this morning with these two bada$$ ladies. I’ve been working with @julia_washington for a few sessions and in the beginning she allowed her head to get in the way of her physical work. (Not throwing her under the bus here at all)...this is something we ALL do.
BUT I have gotten to witness the breakdown of this negative mindset and the buildup of her physical strength and I feel truly blessed! Today at the end of her session I had said I’d give them a break and let them do 5 squat pulses instead of the 10 we had been doing all morning. And she said “nope! C’mon lil (her daughter) we got this, let’s do 10.”!!!! And they did. I knew they could do 10, but the fact that SHE knew she could do 10. She believed in herself & she killed it.

Super sweaty mother/daughter evening workout tonight with @sassyspunkystrong!!! How great it was to have a motivator!!! I definitely prefer morning workouts! It didn’t happen this morning... but I got it done!! Speed 45 is in the books!
Day 4 and doing great! So proud of Brooklynn for giving it her all and really pushing through on her nutrition and work outs. She’s starting to see results not just in the scale but also the mirror and I can see her confidence growing. I never want my girls to have the same struggles with weight as I had and end up with eating disorders like I did for 15 years. Happy Sunday!!! Took a rest day yesterday and decided to get up this morning and do a little Country Heat to move my body and get my heart rate up. And look who joined me for half of it! 👯♀️❤️ We had fun, laughed and I was a sweaty mess by the end of it. I have no rhythm at all and I am not a dancer AT ALL but if you’re looking for a fun workout then let me know! You can try this one out plus so many others FREE for 2 weeks! ☺️
Our moms are in town so I came up with a fun mother-daughter workout: “Your Mom”
With your mom, complete the following:
5 Mile Ass. Bike
100 Wall Ball
100 KB Swings
100 Pull-ups/Ring Rows *One partner on bike, one partner on the other movements. Every 2 minutes switch.
Mommy-Daughter Workout! We hit the hotel gym together! 💪🏼

This didn’t happen all at once. I’ve been doing workouts consistently for 4 years and over time my children see how I have made exercising a priority in my life. It’s all gradual. It’s like planting little seeds bit by bit. They are always watching you!! •
Being active and healthy has trickled over to all areas of my life. It’s made my happy and healthy on the inside AND out. I am definitely a more patient mom when I get my daily workout done!! •
I know Daddy got his workout in at home- and I’m hoping the boys took notice of that too 😉! But we can’t totally force them to be active. They have to want it for themselves and I’m hoping it’s gonna rub off someday!! •
We are headed to do some touristy stuff in St. Louis before seeing my grandma. •
