all the leaves are changing and dropping preparing for the upcoming winter. as this transition takes place all around me, I notice a similar shift of my own energy. the playful energies of summer and sunshine is beginning to fade away as I prepare for my own internal version of fall/winter. the time to recoil and rest and reconnect with moments of stillness. the time to cook with roots and find moments of grounding through slow movements and deep breaths. the time to release all of this years stress and worries as I sink into a new me, a new rhythm, and a new life. the time to reflect on intentions and gratitude and visions. allowing this to be a healing transition into a new season, new year, and a new perspective. 🍁🍃
#tbt I did this piece for my final in one of my last art classes in hs.. it born from a tradition of me choosing a project I was confident about, showing my teacher, and her sending me back to try something more challenging. I was determined to not let that happen for this final, since it was my last project with her. I found a morphing project in the textbook and thought, “what are two completely different things I could try to morph into each other?” Hammer. Octopus. I succeeded in finding a project that was challenging enough! As much as it annoyed me that nothing I wanted to work on was ever approved at the outset, I can’t thank my teacher Kris Watkinson enough for pushing me to try harder and not get comfortable. ❤️.

Dropped major weight along with my backside. See you can't say "oh I want to lose my belly but keep my butt" or "I want to lose the fat on my arms but I want to keep my chest" It doesn't work that way. Were all DIFFERENT! Hey it may actually happen for some, but for me, I preeeetty much lost E-VE-RY-THING! With hard work, staying consistent, determination I am able to make parts that disappeared, reappear...VOILA! ✨ As I've said, I am enjoying this scenic route of my journey. Not rushing or comparing, but loving the changes each day. It is so empowering to see the changes and know that what I am doing each day is making a big difference. So to those that are trying to wish the lbs away or rushing into it and "want it right now"....breath! Take your time, one step at a time. First step on the path to Self-Love ❤️ I'm sure we all heard of gratitude diaries, applications or advices to write down 5 things you are grateful for every morning or night... Well these never worked for me! I tried them, but than I failed and it made me feel worse than before. 💩 I felt like I've failed myself of not being able to sit down everyday the same hour and obligate myself to write down the things I am grateful for. Who am I not to have 5 minutes for myself? - I asked. 🕊️ Everytime I read advices on Instagram or in a book that you have to do certain things a certain way so you shall heal your life and love yourself so hard your head will spin. For some, I guess it works, but for some others these wise advices makes things worse. Like for me. But to know what works for you, you have to know yourself. Vicious circle a bit. ✨ Here is how I see it and found my own happiness and gratitude and self-love: DO YOU! Spend time with yourself, observe what makes you happy, how you feel comfortable, just be with yourself sans judgement! Just chill with yourself sometimes you know. ☺️ No need to do it 20minutes at 8am and 20minites at 3pm. No need to be strict, only if you feel like it. Really, just start to spend time with yourself first before you try to 'stick to' scheduling your self love time. 💆 They don't tell you that, do they? - Because if you are not comfortable with yourself, if you don't know what is really going on with you inside, why and how would you put more responsibilities on your shoulder with adding and extra task to your day? The journey to Yourself supposed to be full or rewards and have only positive outcomes. That is the whole point of it, right?? This is the real journey. When you discover how amazing, beautiful, perfect You Are! ❤️ So drop the pressuring, obligatory activities and take your self-love journey easy ✌️🙏 just be you! Just listen first. Take it easy & slow!
