This city, my hometown, certainly has a soul of its own. Wherever you go, main streets, parks, alleys, you always find a piece of light that says something. In this case, I was just walking home, I looked to the left and saw this awesome beam of light coming through and alley. In that moment I thought to myself, if someone would cross that sidewalk it would be so cool. Not even one minute later, someone crosses by and I get the shot. That moment was so cool and unexpected that it felt as if the city wanted to to get that shot. Do you ever feel that?
- It has nothing to do with the photo, but I just want to know what is the typical dish of your city or country! - no tiene nada que ver con la foto, pero solo quiero saber cual es el plato tipico de su ciudad o pais!
Have patience with everything unresolved in your heart and try to love the questions themselves as if they were locked rooms or books written in a very foreign language. Don't search for the answers, which could not be given to you now, because you would not be able to live them. And the point is to live everything. Live the questions now. Perhaps then, someday far in the future, you will gradually, without even noticing it, live your way into the answer. [Rainer Maria Rilke]
These words have guided me for the past years and continue to give me solace when I feel like I've lost my way. No one is ever lost; our paths are not linear. There is so much we don't know and have no way of knowing. Not yet, or maybe not ever. Learning to love and live the questions is the key we're looking for.
