For the first time EVER, I donated my first piece of art tonight. The organization that I donated it to is the Jadyn Fred Foundation which aids in financial assistance to children in Montana fighting serious health issues. I can honestly say I cried more than I laughed tonight. Tears of joy and tears of sorrow. My heart truly aches for these young children and their families! I know the feeling of pain they are dealing with and it never gets easier seeing these babies face such challenges. My cousin MacKenzie was diagnosed with cancer at only 15 months old and though she is a cancer survivor, her quality of life is not what yours and I's is today. Granted, we thank the Lord every day for her presence and her strength to keep fighting but she has faced more than anyone I know. My ultimate wish is to one day have a cure for cancer and many other life threatening illnesses. Thank you Lord for blessing me with three healthy children. Please, if you are able to do so, donate to this wonderful cause. These children deserve a fighting chance and their families greatly appreciate the help and support #foragoodcause#donation#art#montanaartist#thankful#honored#foreverdonationparticipant#benefitauction#curecancer#pray#artforacause .

Pop into @1plus1is1gallery next time you’re downtown. Great Falls artist Brenda Wolf’s large pastels take one’s breath away. This barn owl clearly has a rich inner life. We’re lucky to have such gifted artists and fabulous galleries in Montana! #barnowl#pasteldrawing#montanaartist#shoplocal
"Country Road" is completed. A long time ago (not telling how long ago) a little girl was riding her horse down a gravel road when her puppy got tired and laid down. So she got off and hauled him up in the saddle with her. A neighbor driving home stopped and asked if she was alright, she told him her puppy got tired. He smiled and drove off. # childhoodmemories#countrylife#montanaartist#ponies#oldfordtruck
Working on this sign for ‘BANNACK DAYS!’ There will be re-enactments, old-timey fashion, and the FOOD! I look forward to this every year. My family and I volunteer serving Breakfast out of the famous Hotel Meade!
Find me there this weekend July 21-22 in Bannack, MT just outside of Dillon.
Keep it real guys! Love and appreciate you!
I had they chance to attend an #artist#talk last night at the @archie_bray by the ever so #talented @bethcavener and @tiptoland. It was definitely out of my comfort zone as I really am not that familiar with three-dimensional sculpture works, but I found it amazing. They stories behind the pieces and thought process. Very cool. I believe the Bray puts these on every other week, so hopefully I can attend some more. #montanaartscene#montanaartist#sculpture#artlecture @stevenylee #Repost @bethcavener with @get_repost
Today is the last day.
My solo show, “The Other," at the Jason Jacques Gallery, will be closing at 3pm.
The 5 major works in this show represent a monumental effort spanning the last 2.5 years in the studio, and I am pleased that it has been an unprecedented success! I am pretty sure the attendance for this exhibition far exceeded any other...and it means a great deal to me that so many of you traveled far and wide to come.
If you haven't yet made it out to the gallery, this is the last chance too see these pieces before all the work comes down and is shipped off to private collections. Please come out, and let me know what you think....your continued support and feedback is amazing and humbling. ..
