So I had a question about showing a color photo of my greyscale girl this morning. I'm not 100% certain it wasn't someone's idea of a joke, but in case it was legitimate and someone else out there is wondering I made up these comparison photos yayyyy! *Kermit arms*
This doll was painted in shades of grey and black to look like she walked out of a black and white or greyscale photograph. In these photos you will notice the differences in her skin, hair and skirt color. For example: her skirt looks to have more of a lavender or blue tone in the color version, versus the diluted color in the black and white photograph. Similarly, her skin and hair have slightly different shades (i.e. more color) In the color version. In otherwords, minus the third picture in her etsy listing, the photographs in her listing ARE in color, she's just designed to look like she's in black and white. Now here on Instagram, I may post both color and black and white versions, just because it's fun to see her in true black and white and her "real life version", but her skirt will always be a dead giveaway because of its overall bluish toning in color versions or plain flat grey in the black and white version. I'll also try to remember to specify in ig photos from now on 😉
Hope that clears up any confusion!
