Taking care of ourselves HAS to be at the FRONT of the list. Because if it is NOT, it will most assuredly be at the END.
If this sounds like crazy talk, realize we all need to make changes in small steps.
Start with a couple minute meditation.
Imagine your favorite, most peaceful place.
Take deep life-giving belly breaths, being sure to allow your belly to expand and fall back.
JUST the act of putting your focus on YOURSELF and being present in your body is essential and good. 🙌🏻 Now listen to what it WANTS AND NEEDS.
Week of NO EXCUSES! 👊🏻
Getting in 6 days of workouts, no excuses. Accomplished my run today and it felt amazing. Even with interrupted sleep, I always feel better with a workout. Morning workouts are my jam now and I just need to get it done first thing. So that’s the plan for this week. No excuses, just get it done. 💪🏻 .
The plan ——> 4 days of running and 2 days of strength workouts.
My goal is to get to 10 minutes holding a plank in perfect position - butt up or any muscle break makes the timer stop. Day 2 of this, I got 3:11 but that’s still quite far from 10:00! But really, he's a true partner in this. Cleaning up after dinner so I can get my workouts in, taking over bedtime duty when needed, never once complaining about me doing me before watching our shows, eating all of the healthy meals I experiment with, and developing his own healthy habits along the way --- he followed his multigrain nachos up with a plate of baby carrots 😘
Having a partner to lean on through your journey is a game changer. .

Every time somebody tells me that I need to just “get a normal job”, my fire burns brighter and bigger! I will not exchange my time for money to build someone else’s dream. Not this lady!

Today was a much needed mama day...I’ve been pretty overwhelmed the last few weeks having the kids on my own while the hubs has been away training and I was starting to go a little crazy 😅 .
So today, Andrew had the day off and took the kids to the park and spent the whole day with them while I enjoyed some me time! I got a massage, had lunch, got a manicure & pedicure, and even got my eyebrows done! And when I got home the kids were bathed and the hubby was feeding them dinner & now putting them to bed! (🙌🏼😍)
It was definitely a much needed mama day & so grateful for a husband who encourages me to have days like these ❤️ #grateful#mamabreak
Whoooo momma is thickums!!! My gut is still trying to get used to my new gluten free diet (holy shit it’s hard) so I’ve been dealing with a lot of gas and bloating but das ok! I’ve made the decision to come back to the gym where it all began and I’m soooo happy!

Together, we want to get their picture onto that 100 Pound Club wall!!! 🙌🏻💪🏻👊🏻 And I am just so grateful to Tami for hopping on a call with us to share some of her own story of how she personally was able to accomplish that exact thing a few years ago. Her life has changed as she's released 130lbs now!! 😭👏🏻🎉 I was reminded of some of my thoughts when I first started this, of feeling like I needed to know everything in order to help everyone. And I'm so glad I learned that no... I just need to connect people to the right info and SUPPORT them! ANYONE can do that. Together, we are so much stronger. 🤝

Sometimes being a mom consists of having to make adjustments to your workouts. Push-ups, squats, front raises, you name it. Who needs weights when you can use a toddler? Plus it makes the workouts more fun 💞
My personal trainer has a different way of motivating me 🤣🤣 Getting back into the swings of things with 3 littles and a career ha been a bit of a struggle. Every day I get a workout in, I count it a victory. Just don’t ask how many days in a row that is 😉😉

Yes!! All of this right here!! I never could stick to fitness because my reasons to exercise were all wrong👎🏻 I remember in college seeing a friend working out and looking “skinny” so My drive to get to the gym was to be skinny like her 😮 So I would go to the gym, but I wanted instant results and thought those results would lead to certain friends, a boy friend etc! I thought my life would be perfect if I “looked perfect” well I’ve got news for you——if looking perfect or skinny is your motivation then I think you’ve got it all wrong!
My reasons then were so superficial, it’s sort of embarrassing to even admit that ...BUT its no wonder I didn’t have results or the will to continue. But my reasons for health and fitness have changed! ⭐️ I want to be around for my kids and be a PART of their lives because they NEED me. ⭐️I want to have energy ⭐️I want avoid illness ⭐️I want to sleep better (which I know will happen when I have kids that let me sleep) ⭐️I want to feel good on the inside 💕 ⭐️I want to help others stay accountable When I finally changed my thoughts around health and fitness, I swear the results and the WILL to continue followed because I wasn’t doing it to “look perfect” I was doing it for my family, to set an example and to feel good! It’s no longer a chore for me, I look forward to it because I know it will impact my longevity and time with my kids! Today I am 4 months postpartum!
I will be completely honest and say that losing weight is a lot HARDER the second time around, but I am trying my best to not let that discourage me.
Anyone else struggle with this?!? I am human though and when I step on a scale and realize I haven't lost any weight over the last 2 months, I felt a little defeated!
Usually when I feel like this, I take a progress picture to compare it too. Today, I decided to hold Brooks for my picture to remind myself that no matter what that scale says, my body is amazing and beautiful! My body grew two beautiful babies!
I think as women we are so critical of ourselves and in such a hurry to get back to our “pre baby” body that we forget to love the body we have right now!
So here I am a Mom of 2 doing my best to love this body.
Love it so much that I don't talk bad about it.
Love it so much that I fuel it properly.
Love it so much that I workout 30 minutes per day.
Love it so much that I do my best to get enough sleep.
I am looking for 3 other ladies who want to work on loving their body through proper nutrition and fitness!

Hey #postpartum mommies! Do you have any fear or concerns about your core? First ask yourself why? .
Have you got your core checked for a #diastasisrecti ? If not, do that first. Ask your midwife or doctor. Find a PT or trainer. Hey you can even find YouTube videos in how to do it. .
Second test some core exercises out. And I don’t mean crunches or plank. Those are fine exercises but there are so many more core exercises that do the same thing but put less stress on your healing core. .
Try some heel slides. When you are pushing and pulling your leg do it with your core! If that feels easy try and add this extra element. .
By adding the resistance band and pulling our arms over our shoulders it activates those abs. It also, keeps our ribs from flaring and keeps our low back on the floor. Insuring our core is tight. .
