I got some alone time with Izzers this week while her big sisters are at camp.
We were trying to kill time before the Wegmans play area opened (yup, giving that another try 😬) so we decided to hit up the park on this beautiful morning. (I’ll admit my initial choice was Target, but I reined myself in and opted for free entertainment 😉.) Izzy was SO excited for this simple excursion. As the baby of the family she’s used to being toted along to every errand and sports practice. It was so nice and truly relaxing and fun having this one on one time with my baby girl. She had my undivided attention and we both loved every minute of it.
It’s so funny how emotions can go from one extreme to another so quickly with little kids (for both the kids AND the parents). If you saw my stories from earlier, Izzy was a bear this morning. So difficult and stubborn. (It really starts the day off beautifully when our kids act like this right?). But then we turned around an hour later and had the BEST time together! Thank goodness for times like these that balance it all out 💗.
How am i gonna cope tomorrow?! How can my first born be starting Kindergarten already?! Please tell me it gets easier.
I wanted to spend the last day before school with her and do everything she wanted. So, we did a little shopping, stopped by Starbucks for a cake pop, ate sushi, and rounded out the afternoon at the pool. That’s a pretty amazing girl day if I do say so myself!
When your favourite excavator toy matches the backdrop that you think is a road the excavator can drive on, you take a photo.
Sophie's first mural shots, and I'm quite sure there will be more as we discover all the gems from @vanmuralfest (post gelato eats).
