That’s the most we have hung out (without kids) in ... 8 years?! SO proud of @its_brittneyy1 for all of the hard work she has put in and inches she shed the past year. I am so ready for her to start building up the muscle and make that booty pop👌🏽🤗 Thrilled that she got to sneak out with me tonight - I always know it’s going to be a killer pump when one of my babes come train with me! DAITH piercing update!💜
So today is Day 4 with the Daith piercing that I got to hopefully help with my migraines. I got it pierced Sunday afternoon, and that day of course I had taken excedrin migraine, which didn’t work, then took my RX pill right before we went in for the piercing.
And now, on day 4, I’m kind of speechless and kinda want to cry.😭💜 For the life of me, I couldn’t tell you the last time I went 4 days without taking excedrin migraine or my imitrex or maxalt. The headaches started in LATE high school, but at that point ibuprofen would work. Then as I got older they got worse and I needed to use excedrin migraine. Then as they got worse and worse I would need a RX pill, otherwise I would be so sick that I literally felt like I would die. Zero exaggeration there. I had one time, about two years ago, where the RX didn’t work, and I was up all night long throwing up in the toilet and rocking back and forth or laying on the floor.
The Time before that. I was out of RX pills, this was when we lived in California, Jamie was out of town. I was so so so SOOOOO sick, I was laying on the living room floor while Cruz slept and we only had Maddy and Cruz at that time. So poor Maddy, I had to have Her call my sister because I couldn’t even talk on the phone (at like 12am) who lived 30 minutes away bring me a pill OR, I needed to go to the emergency. I felt like I was going to die. There’s really no describing the pain. It’s almost like an outer body experience.
So.... As you can imagine, THIS is a pretty big deal for me.🥰 But!!!! I’m still not saying anything because I don’t wanna jinx it! So🤫🤫🤫🤫🤫, dont tell anyone.🤓😜
But I just wanted to update y’all as I’m winding down day 4, with ZERO👌🏼headaches or migraines.💜 Goodnight! :)
Wore something other than grease covered work clothes today and actually did my hair because Kam didn’t have day care today; which meant a day “off” for momma. Aka - still did photo work all day and went into the city to shop but I made an effort on my appearance. The amount of people I actually saw out and about today that told me I look amazing makes me realize how little I actually stop working and get out in public. I am not posting this to brag and I certainly do not think I look amazing (in fact I'm super self-conscious and doing this post kinda makes me want to puke😷) BUT something in me just HAD to share this.
3 years guys... I've been working on myself (mentally, emotionally & physically) My goal initially was to get rid of my "mom bod". It has NOT been easy at all... But it's been an incredible journey. I have discovered so much about myself and I'm not even close to being done learning. This is me. I am a MOM and I'm actually pretty proud of this "bod".
I've gained confidence, I sleep better, I eat better than ever before, my stress levels are way down and I actually love myself... For like the first time ever😳
I know SO many people just don't feel good about themselves (especially us women) so I'm just here to say that YOU CAN live your best life and love yourself. Small changes over time yield BIG results.
I'm no where near perfect. I'm a constant work in progress. I have a ways to go and I'm in it for the long haul❤

This quote really sums up motherhood for me. Max is changing so much lately. He has skipped naps this week, learned so many new words, is asking questions and finding dangerous things to climb.😂 He’s also been more clingy and very determined to be part of what Steve and I are doing 24/7!
I sometimes find myself missing his baby days but realize they can’t last forever and there are pros and cons to every stage.
Here’s to remembering the past, making the most of the present and getting comfortable with change. After all, it is the only constant in our world!

Ryan is home until Tuesday and I am over the moon excited about it! He is the sweetest with Elizabeth and it always makes me so sad that he only gets to see her for bedtime during the week. I knew he was gonna be a great dad before Elizabeth was even born but seeing him with her makes my heart explode daily. He even uses the Nose Frieda without complaining. #superdad
💥Your “gym” is a state of mind 💥
You don’t need a membership to a state of the art fitness facility or a beautifully put together home gym.
But what you DO need is a plan and the determination to follow it through.
This is my “gym” most days. A dark, dungy corner in our unfinished basement. And guess what...? It gets the job done because I know when I go down there, put my music on and press play it’s my time and I give it my all.

“Work on your mindset as much you work on your skillset,” some of the best advice I have ever been given!! When you change your mindset every other area of your life will change. When you decide to grow your mind, push it to its limits & expand your thinking, you will do the same in every other of your life! I want to be my best self & teach my sweet babes to do the same. I love the challenge of mind over body at the gym, your body can do anything you tell your mind you can do! When they say one more rep, give it two. Push yourself to your limits in all areas of your life, you only get one life make it the best life!! Had an awesome phone call with my nutritionist @morethanjustrice_rd_icoach tonight! Focused mainly on recovering from a trip to NYC and getting back on track. I’ve started new classes this week and they have added a crap ton of school work to my plate. So my stress level is almost maxed out. -
Between recovering from vacation, new classes, school work, family/mom responsibilities I feel like I’m at an all time low with energy. I’ve made it to the gym 0️⃣ times this week (and I’m in a Crossfit competition this Saturday...goals). So I fell off track but this call has helped me find my path again. -
I am going to be focusing on meal prepping for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I’ve dabbled in meal prepping here and there but nothing too serious. This is what I’ll be eating for the next week with some changes in veggies etc. I will be making my grocery list tomorrow and sending a picture to Coach Ellen. I will also be taking pictures of the food I am making. I love this because it adds that extra layer of accountability! -

Slowly but surely working to get back where I was 🖤 it all starts with the basics. It may not feel like a “warm up” helps or that it doesn’t truly help, but anyone who has a little bit of experience with yoga will tell you it makes ALL THE DIFFERENCE!! if I failed to warm up or do warm-up stretches my body is really tight and not as flexible.. I can’t hold poses or even get in to certain poses without warming up. When I first got in to yoga, I thought the long slow stretches were kinda silly. It was too slow for me. Now I get it. I understand. It’s not silly or slow. It about meditation. It’s about your breathing. It’s about breathing into that stretch or pose to push yourself just a little bit further. It’s about warming up into your flow. Without a warm up, my practice is shit.
