The heat wave broke in Colorado, and we have a high of 64 today ⛅️
Since I’m all out of @projectjuice 🥤
I thought I’d whip up something warm and comforting, and still easy on digestion.
I found @cottercrunch Healing AIP breakfast porridge and thought I’d give it a try!
I didn’t have the ingredients as usual so here are my subs.
I took my spaghetti squash I prepped from the farmers mark on Sunday
Almond milk I made this morning
Chia and flax seed
Shredded Unsweetened Coconut
Pinch of salt
Whipped it In the blender, making sure to stop so it had some texture
Heat on the stove top and let some of the moisture out cause I like my porridge on the thicker side
Then topped with
I will be making making this again! If you ever cook your squash a little longer than you wanted.. this will be a perfect recipe to use it all up.
My view on the drive to dinner last night.
I had not planned on going out until the very last minute and when I got in the car I had so many thoughts running through my head, so many voices vying for attention. Worry had started to creep in and grow and I let it have a seat in my mind and sat right on down to listen.
But our conversation was interrupted when I looked up and saw this: an in-my-face reminder that in the midst of all my fretting and wondering and trying to figure out all these little things, here is this magnificent world God made, held together by the integrity of His Word, worshiping in all its glory, whether I notice it or not. By His Word and the integrity of it all this was established, set up for increase, and held in place. By the integrity of His Word this sun sets every night and rises every morning. Never-changing, unfailing, absolute, unshakeable, faithful.
So when His Words to me are, "Do not worry," or, "I will protect you," or , "I will make a way," or anything else, He is as faithful to them as He is to hold the world together. That is a faithfulness safe enough and good enough and big enough to lay my cares on. That is something I can come into agreement with, knowing there is not a chance He will leave me hanging.
For the rest of the 30 minute drive there I enjoyed this sky and drove home in the light of the brightest harvest moon. I left anxious and returned so thankful, just because I looked up from me to see creation proclaiming Him. "The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork."
Does anyone else adore sunrises and sunsets and harvest moons like I do? They always feel like a face-to-face with the One who created them to me!
Look up, Child. Look up and see the bigger picture.
“When I have a daughter I will tell her
You grew between the cracks of my skin,
I built you,
cell by cell,
over nine full moons,
a flower grown from blood.
Somewhere in your beautiful mind lives the distant memory, of loving only the sound of my voice and the slow hammer of my heart,
you trusted me before you knew me.”

I’m so excited that I was finally able to successfully introduce baby Z to the coin box. This montessori material is another one of those items that holds a special place in my heart. I’ve tried introducing him to this to my little one a couple times before but he just wasn’t ready. My eldest Big A was using a homemade diy version that I had made at that time with her. She was only 10 months when she began using this material. It was such a blessing. This was one those items I would always keep in my baby bag to keep her engaged during our 2 hour long waits at the pediatricians office, during the waits at my appointments, presentations, gatherings, and even on a 16 hour flight we took to Pakistan when she was 13 months. It was something I could pull out whenever I needed her to sit in one place and stay quite (which is really hard to expect from little ones). Because she was so little when she started using it, I assumed baby Z would be able to use too as soon as he developed his pincer grip. But he didn’t. It took him almost 5 months longer to learn. *
This serves as a nice reminder that no two kids are the same. And just as materials should not be presented based on age but rather ability, so should the expectations of life. Just because one child is responsible and independent by 6, doesn’t mean that all kids will be. Some kids reach Maturity by 18, others by 15 and yet others by the time they are in their 30s. We shouldn’t compare our kids to others, or set expectations based on what society expects. Instead we should see the potential of each child and aim to help them develop into the best that THEY can be. *
This is a reminder first and foremost for myself as I find myself struggling with this daily. *************
Many of you have asked to see more “every day life” videos too, so here is a little peek into our family! ❤️ This past weekend Caden turned 2! Instead of having us plan a party for him we decided to let him pick whatever he wanted to do! Here are a few things our newly two-year-old picked to do for his birthday ❤️ To see the rest of our birthday adventure, click the link in my bio for the full video! #momblogger#kids#fun#birthdayboy 🎉 #2yearsold#familytime#love

Getting out of your comfort zone is where the magic happens...
If I didn't step forward I wouldn't be where I am at today...
I wouldnt be partnered with two 7 Figure Earners...
I wouldn't be with an amazing company that is about to explode ...a rare place to be that could lead to financial freedom, time freedom and more!!!
“I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.” - John 16:33
It is just as distracting to be caught up in our tangible, earthly trails as it is to be giving into our freshly desires. Worry and turmoil are merely another tactic of the enemy to distract you from your divine, God appointed calling.
The meeting with oneself is, at first, the meeting with one’s own Self Shadow. The Self Shadow is a tight passage, a narrow door, whose painful constriction no one is spared who goes down to the deep well. But one must learn to know oneself in order to know who one is. 🦁 Carl Jung *** The Hidden Power of the Self Shadow.
The Self Shadow contains not just destructive aspects of the personality, but also potent, creative, and powerful capabilities. During our development certain traits and impulses were condemned by our family, peers, and educators, not out of care but out of envy, fear, ignorance or jealousy. Our proclivity to abide by social expectations also caused us to repress talents, innate abilities, and impulses which if cultivated and developed had the potential to make us more effective beings in the world.
Not that long ago, my grandma used to tell me and my sister that we were getting too old to become mothers (even before we turned 30!) Today my nephew is almost 9 months old :) I used to think that social pressure in Russia to have kids in your 20s was doing women no good. Today? I'm not too sure anymore.. For one, having kids young is definitely easier on women's health and post-partum recovery. Besides, the younger you are the more energy you have to play with and chase around these little fireballs. But of course there is the right time to have kids for every couple and no generic advice works in every case. What do you think, is it better to have kids in your 20s or in your 30s?
🤔Today’s thought - “What is your style of parenting ? “
While I can’t put a tag on my style of parenting yet but I am curious to know what style do u adopt when it comes to parenting ? .
🤓Was having an interesting conversation amongst my friends where this topic came up that what is the right way to tame the toddler tantrum or what should be the correct parenting style to be adopted ? .
🤔Should you be moderately strict yet indulgent at some times or assertive parents who are quite strict or super lenient chilled out parent who let the kid to explore things at his own pace . There are more styles but I have listed down 3 basis my observation. .
🙃Being a mom of a toddler whose behaviour is so unpredictable it’s difficult to put a tag on the type of parenting style that one should adopt. .
🤓Some mommies believe that the right approach of dealing with a pint sized dictator aka toddler is to be strict and always keep them on schedule. .
An assertive parenting style can produce well behaved kids. It is putting appropriate limits for them and also having to face consequences when things go wrong. .
😎While others believe that let the kids be kids and let them do whatever they feel like doing as they will be kids for a little while and why not Spoil them a lil. .
🙂Others like me are moderately strict yet indulgent at some times. I believe in a healthy balance and would def want to keep my toddler tantrum minimised to a large extent! In my family we take turns to play the good cop bad cop kinda role and try to indulge lil P at times but also keep him in check and make him aware that throwing tantrum is not the solution for everything. I try to channelise his inner energy elsewhere so that I deal less with his terrible tantrums 🤦🏻♀️
🤭There is no right or wrong way of parenting ! Whatever works for you and your kid is the right way of parenting ! .
😀So what kind of parents are you ? Do u see yourself fitting into any of the parenting styles or how was the parenting style of your parents ? Would like to kno ! .
31 years today. To say the last year has been one of the craziest is an understatement. But while it’s been one of the harder years I’ve faced, it’s been one of the best.
There is good to be found in difficult seasons, and there’s so much to be grateful for when you choose to see it.
Here’s to another year of life, love, growth, struggle, gratitude and fun!! #imfeeling31
Just over here soaking up momentarily clean countertops and all the fresh flowers left over from this one’s party over the weekend (which, if you missed this on the blog you MUST go back and check it out 😉). Does anyone else agree that if you throw a bow on then jammies transform into a day or night ensemble? 😂 Not going to lie...if we’re not leaving the house then the baby is probably not going to leave her jammies (and likely same for me 🙋🏼♀️🍷). P.s. don’t mind the fingerprints on the fridge, we live here. I like to think it adds that “home-y”, lived-in effect. 😜
Have a great Tuesday, Babes! (Is it Tuesday? Still up from #nightshift last night...🤪). .
“You’re not perfect, but perfect is the enemy of good”
I’m sitting next to my Lemon bug watching the movie Next Generation and I heard this line. How dead on it truly is. Perfection IS the enemy of good. Trying to be perfect takes away your ability to be humble which we all need to stay kind. ❤️ #stayhumble
