I’ve been using my time wisely these last few weeks and building up our Castile (pure olive oil) Soap stock. They take an age an a half to cure (3/6/12 months) so planning ahead is key. -
My #SaturdaySoaping offering this week serves two olive oil, turmeric and goat milk soaps. -
The pale one is made with olive oil, goat milk & turmeric and scented with cedarwood & lavender essential oil. -
I wasn't satisfied with the properties so I made a second soap.
The second more vibrant soap is also made with goats milk, olive oil, turmeric and lavender but this time I added carrot seed essential oil! Carrot seed oil is especially good for skin rejuvenation and regeneration and is an especially potent antioxidant. It also has great anti-bacterial properties which are said to help stave off skin infections as well as accelerate skin healing. Turmeric has skin brightening and anti-inflammatory properties which when combined with the carrot seed oil and pure olive oil makes a wonderful soap tonic for dry skin problems. It's by nature a super gentle soap that has has great skin healing properties. -
I’ll wait another 24hrs before I cut but so far I am extremely pleased with them.
1. Skin Lightening🌝
Among the top beauty benefits of almonds is that it naturally bleaches skin with its skin lightening properties. This is particularly the case as both the skins and meat of the nut contain this property. I use ALL of the nut in my soap so you are sure to reap the benefits!
2. Skin Exfoliator🙆
Almond powder has a slight abrasive texture that acts as a wonderful exfoliator for your skin. It’s gentle in nature but at the same time, really sloughs off dirt, dead cells, flaky skin and grime from your face! That is why I took the time to peel off the peelings, dry and then grind them fine for a gentle exfoliation that is easy enough for sensitive skin!
3. Protects Skin from Sun Damage😎
Almonds are rich in antioxidants. This makes them great for protecting the skin from free radicals in the sun’s UV rays that damage skin. When your skin absorbs the antioxidants from using the soap, it is less likely to become burnt and dry as easily!
4. Promotes Healthy Moisturized Skin🙋
Your skin’s top layer, also known as the epidermis contains high levels of Vitamin E, did you know?! It protects skin cells’ outer membranes which keeps them strong and healthy. Strong membranes are able to seal moisture deep into the skin which keeps your skin healthy and moisturized. So to keep your Vitamin E levels balanced in your epidermis, use almonds! It is beneficial to all skin types!
5. Reduces Skin Inflammation🤗
Almonds have anti-inflammatory properties that reduce skin inflammation and redness. If you’re suffering from an inflammatory skin condition like eczema, psoriasis or rosacea, it’s time to toss your regular soap and give my handmade almond soap a try to see improvement in your skin! Almonds moisturizing capabilities are seen in the healthy glow of your skin!😍 Get a bar for yourself, just click the link in profile!😁 #almonds#organicalmonds#antioxidants#antiinflammatory#eczemasoap#moisturesoap#almondsforskin#vitaminrich#vitamine#uvprotection#epidermis#deepmoisture#psoriasis#rosacea#psoriasissoap#rosaceasoap#skinlightener#skinlighteningsoap#antiagingsoap
