I spent some time tonight doing another version of my painting of the river - this time without the opposite shore to worry about 😉... I'm not sure if I'll work on it more later or just consider it practice, but it definitely was fun to paint!
Long time waiting for this dude, if it had a brutal name it'd be "cystic swamp" but I'll go ahead and call it pancakes. I think after this I will be doing more closed contour schtuff. I get bored with being scenic- who knows, though; GALAXIES ARE AN EXCEPTION.
Whichever feeds the beast of passion, I suppose. or some shite.
OH, and thinking I will probably do stickers again soon. sooooowatchout. YOU GUYS IS BEAUTIFUL.
Congrats to Mark and Nancy for winning my giveaway at the Hmong Arts and Craft Fair back in June. They received a free hour's (and then some 😉) worth of free henna! Trying out my peony and a potential future tattoo! .
Comment if you think I should do another giveaway!
The last two days have been filled with anxious energy, enough for me to cancel what would have been a brilliant weekend with people I adore. This morning I woke at 0630 and was in the pottery studio by 0730. As I centered my first mound of mud in over eighteen months, the anxiety spun off into the foggy pines. When I throw I’m with my great grandfather, my grandfather and my Chicago clay family from @lsps_lc - surrounded by the purest of creative energy. ❤️
