I was raised in a home that revolved around all things New York. 4 years ago I fell in love with this place when I saw it in person for the first time. SO happy to be back here 🍎 and so surreal to look out at this view and tell Keegan that the year he was born, an airplane landed in that river ✈️ #someonepinchme#newyork#sully#usairwaysflight1549#miracleonthehudson
Went to the Carolinas Aviation Museum yesterday. This is the aircraft behind The Miracle on the Hudson. Pretty amazing that everyone survived and that the whole thing happened in like 6 minutes. I can’t even imagine. Side note: toddler kept talking about “ear caps” this morning. Hubs finally decoded it as “aircraft”. 😂😂😂. #miracleonthehudson#carolinasaviationmuseum#kidssaythedarndestthings
Here it is, the Miracle on the Hudson plane. This was the plane that Captain Sully had to make the emergency decision in.
This sucker has been through hell and back. From wing chopping for investigation, to pure dissection for transport and storage!
Quick summary for those who don't remember, in 2009, this plane was bound from LaGuardia Airport in New York to Charlotte-Douglas Airport here in Charlotte. Sadly, the day went south as the plane struck a flock of Canada geese.
Sully was left with the tough choice to land in the Hudson because there was not enough time or fuel to make it back to either airports in the area. All passengers survived.
So yeah, it was kinda cool but creepy all the same. It still somehow made its way to Charlotte regardless of the situation.
After months of my dad and brother telling me how good this movie was, tonight I finally got around to watching it. It didn’t disappoint - if you haven’t seen it, do yourself a favour and check it out ASAP #sully#saturdaynight#miracleonthehudson
Last week I had the pleasure of having lunch with @davesandersonspeaks and was incredibly touched to hear some of his personal story as a survivor, the last passenger off of flight 1549, most commonly known as The Miracle on the Hudson. I read his book today, Moments Matter. The quick easy read is filled with direct and actionable content, and is motivational as well. Dave is truly a living miracle, check his book out and follow him for more great content. #miracleonthehudson#momentsmatter#epic#legacy#intentionalliving#dotherightthing#gratitude#theheroclub

Warner Bros. claimed a production tax credit in Georgia on more than $600,000 worth of airplane equipment that was never used in the state, a Variety investigation has found.
The studio submitted the expenses in connection with “Sully,” the 2016 film directed by Clint Eastwood that was shot at locations including Georgia and California. Georgia offers a 30% tax credit for film production costs, provided they are incurred in the state.
Contracts and emails obtained by Variety show that the items billed to the Georgia film incentive program matched expenses that were actually incurred in California. As part of the effort to shift expenses to Georgia, the production went so far as to truck a small piece of airplane fuselage to a studio in Atlanta. The cost of the item matched the cost of a mothballed Airbus A320 that was used in California. The fuselage piece was not used in the film, but it was claimed as a Georgia-based expense. #taxfraud#taxcredit#taxcrime#tax#taxes#sully#tomhanks#clinteastwood#hollywood#warnerbros#miracleonthehudson#georgia#filmproduction#taxtimur
