"Low Front Bird" [Image Description: In the background, a pergola several feet long is over top a concrete path. The wood beams to the pergola has become a dark gray color and has green ivy wrapping around each wood beam that is supporting the top wood beams that form peaks. Andrew Cohen, the base, is on his back with his head and feet on the concrete looking up. He has his hands on Kelly's pelvic with 90 degree arms balancing Kelly in the air. Kelly is over Andrew. Andrew and Kelly's heads and legs are in the same direction. Kelly Brittingham, the flyer, is looking horizontally towards the other green plants. She has her chest upwards with her arms at her side and legs straight with pointed toes. Andrew is wearing sunglasses, a bright pink shirt, and gray shorts. Crickets..... Where er'body at? Went to support Juneteenth and NOBODY WAS THERE!!!! Finally found the vendors set up...maybe 3, not including xcel energy and a school...Walked around taking pictures....As we were leaving.I'm taking pictures of TREES at this point.... a woman with, I guess her bouncer, (fine brother btw) came up to us and wanted to know who we were and why were we taking pictures . (mister was with me) Tried to tell her that I was a photography student just taking pictures for my assignment and I'm not publishing them anywhere. ( but actually would have given her FREE publicity) She proceeds to tell me that people paid $300.00 to be in HER event and other people claiming to be Juneteenth presenters were always trying to take over but it was HER EVENT.....WHAT??? *she is NOT smiling...and is obviously annoyed with our being there) So freakin strange AND sad....
Mister just handed her $20.00 donation (which she took) and at this point I'm ready to bounce.
But back to my original question.
WHERE ER'BODY AT?

Most women are guilty of daydreaming about their wedding day.
The decor, dress, lighting, music. Some girls know from a young age they want pink princess slippers and spend their entire childhood walking barbie down the aisle … Funny brides spend so much time fixated and obsessed with these little details when, at the end of the day, they will be appreciated by few.
Detail shots are always my favorite pictures to take as a wedding photographer because they capture the little things thought out by the bride... The little things that others may not notice unless explicitly shown.
These shoes stole my heart the second I saw them… Every strip of lace carefully placed just for her - no one else would ever have shoes like these.
They are the shoes dreamt up by a girl who envisioned her perfect wedding day and will now be appreciated by more than just a few.
I’m still blushing over these photos of Rachel + Josh. Their love story is absolutely one of a kind and makes me so excited to see what their future holds. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I’ve been wanting to start composing more meaningful captions on my posts here ... I’ve been slacking. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
It’s pretty easy to get caught up in simply sharing a photo and forgetting to share my feelings behind it too. And you know, that’s half of it. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
This shot was taken in Duluth’s Canal Park and contrary to the smile on Josh’s face - he was actually in a lot of pain. Turns out that rock wasn’t very comfortable. (Oops) Thanks for going along with my crazy ideas and sitting in uncomfortable places.
This Saturday marks the beginning of my first official wedding season with 81 Studios Photography and I could NOT be more excited. 🍾 love is in the air - I cannot wait to bottle some of it up and share it with you.
Self portrait 🌿 It’s not very often I step out from behind my camera and photograph myself... Photography is teaching me to find the beauty in everyone - including me. For so long I thought that wasn’t allowed.
What an inspiring event and lineup of speakers yesterday at the @labmpls event. There were locally made wares for sale and these wonderful speaker sessions. Nerd that I am, I took copious notes. 🤓 Here are a couple nuggets of wisdom:
1) “There is no such thing as balance, and anyone that tells you different is a liar. We’re all just doing our best.” - @ek_goldenrule ✨
2) “You believe you can, but just barely. That’s the key to scaling up.” - @hennepinmade ✨

Autism awareness week 2!
For children with autism it is often difficult to communicate their emotions and recognize the emotions of others. ‘MAKE A FACE’ (by @moon.picnic) is a beautifully made toy which can be used as a tool to teach not only autistic kids but any child to identify emotions.
Turn & flip the wooden face pieces to express your emotion! 🙂🙃🤨
Quick thank you to those of you who purchased vintage in the last few weeks. Part of your purchases will be donated to Autism Society of MN.
OPEN until 7pm tonight!
