I decided that this year I want to leave a lot of my bulletin boards blank so that the kids are part of the process! I made some white board posters so that I can change it up with each new skill we are working on! Se ressourcer... corps en mouvement auprès des arbres... celui qui m'accompagne est un pin de mon enfance... j'ai vite été dépassée par ce géant paisible que je contemple en levant la tête... immense aujourd'hui, son tronc craquelé de sentiers, solide, profondément enraciné... joie qu'il soit toujours là... joie d'avoir grandi auprès de sa force en dansant, par tous les temps, même dans la neige. Imaginez juste un instant une chorégraphie dans le grand blanc, toutes les empreintes tracées, la neige dans l'air par poignées lancée, la poudre de cristaux gelés sur le visage, avant de se laisser rouler dans la poudreuse... et s'immobiliser juste comme ça les yeux au ciel... La sensation de liberté avec les éléments est si vaste quand nous nous relions à toutes nos sensations. Eh bien revenons maintenant en été, les pieds nus dans l'herbe. Ecriture et danse se sont entremêlées pendant des années... jusqu'à ce que yoga et méditation s'invitent comme des amis complices dans le quotidien des émotions  que nous vivons de toutes les couleurs... A kitchen #mindfulmoment this morning...the water was off the other night and I lugged a 5lt bottle from under the stairs so that we could wash up; it’s sat on the side now half used....the wash of #gratitude that swept through my heart for the #abundance of clean water in our lives was deep!

As overlooked as it might be, being a team player means taking on an attitude that requires self-awareness and a certain level of maturity that can be developed through deep thought analysis. “Ask the children to hold tree pose alone and time how long they can hold. Then question, “what are the advantages and disadvantages of working alone?”. Following this, as a whole class create a 'Team Tree' circle where everyone is supporting each other and time how long we can hold. Can they grow their roots out in front and behind using their leg? What are the advantages and disadvantages of now working in a team? Highlight the importance of respecting each other so that the tree stands strong.” .

I love this pebble made by a little Warrior in a 1-2-1 session this evening. The first thing she wrote was ‘love yourself ‘ 🙏🏻 Just a little reminder to embrace her uniqueness, stay true to herself, sparkle from within and enjoy the journey....just like the unicorns she loves so much 🦄

We then used the pebble in a meditation loosely based on Thich Nhat Hanh’s book ‘A handful of quiet’. Using the pebble as a reminder to be calm still. Just like a pebble sinking into the deep calm waters. Avoiding all the chaos around us. .

These beautiful shells have been sitting in my parents’ bathroom for 25 years and l NEVER notice them. When I was taking Ivy to the toilet earlier (potty training is on 💪) she spotted them and we spent a good few minutes exploring them together 🐚

These beautiful shells have been sitting in my parents’ bathroom for 25 years and l NEVER notice them. I don't know if this is a thing, but it was my thing, and with my daughter it's now our thing and imma just go ahead and make it a thing 💃

My uncle John gave me my first camera when I was around 11 or 12 years old, and it changed my whole perspective on beauty and cycles and moments and life really. I've learnt along the way that mindfulness can be achieved through many ways and my preferred way to improve my relationship with the present, is to take photos. Nothing in this world stills my mind, heart and breath more. And so with my daughter I set little challenges and out we go into the world, living fully in the present that is the present. I make a list to improve our focus, and we tick as we go. I print it off for her afterwards to extend the moment a little. She's a dope little photog and I see things with her I definitely wouldn't have looked for otherwise. 😍

5. Breathing Exercises 
Try Belly breathing - it’s is easy to do and very relaxing. Try this basic exercise anytime you need to relax or relieve stress.

Sit or lie flat in a comfortable position.
Put one hand on your belly just below your ribs and the other hand on your chest.
Take a deep breath in through your nose, and let your belly push your hand out. Your chest should not move.
Breathe out through pursed lips as if you were whistling. Feel the hand on your belly go in, and use it to push all the air out.
Do this breathing 3 to 10 times. Take your time with each breath.
Notice how you feel at the end of the exercise
Teach your little ones HOW to think. Not what to think

Maar we weten allemaal dat we in een onrustige tijd leven. Ons brein heeft super veel te verwerken en de stemmetjes in ons hoofd bemoeien zich ook nog eens overal mee. We komen zo goed als niet meer toe aan het ordenen van die wirwar in ons hoofd. En het is zo makkelijk, gewoon rust nemen, even de pauzeknop aan te zetten. Geef je brein een paar keer per dag even rust door simpelweg even stil te zijn met jezelf. Even bewust adem te halen, te vragen hoe het nu met je is. Alleen dat, geen afleiding maar even met jezelf (dus ook geen telefoon). Begin er vandaag nog mee en gun jezelf die pauzeknop.⠀

Taking a moment today to think about how these books came to life and thought I’d share a bit of it with you here. I had a vision of the design when I was driving one day - popped right into my heart. Before the hour long trip was over I had pulled over and written out every word I wanted/needed to include in #MindfulABCs. At the time I had no idea how to create a book or even money for colour ink in my printer to make a sample. But little by little, it came together to actually exist. She love to sleep with her diffuser on 😍 , she is hard when it comes to sleep so we have different blends we used them topical and on her diffuser normally we apply them 10 minute before bed and keep the diffuser on 4 hours.

Today we use lavender which is our calming oil it relax her.
Cedarwood that will also help to soothe her sleep.
Wild orange this versatile oil that we can use both to uplift but at the same time it help us feel calm. 
Smell delicious 😍 and works like a charm 10 minutes later she is fast sleep 😴😴😴 .
