Diversity makes everything better, and that definitely applies to food, too! I’m a sucker for Korean and western fusion food, and Mingles does exactly that in an art form. Recently having earned back its lost Michelin star, the restaurant proved that it is back with a vengeance with its delightful summer tasting menu. My mom and I also got a free additional dessert this day because we come here too often (oops), so we had an extra sweet ending to a beautiful gastronomic experience. Fun fact: everyone in the Mingles kitchen wears a baseball cap instead of a chef’s hat!
This is 40!
I know a lot of people get nervous about aging. I am not really one of those people. I am more scared of my parents aging than I am of me aging, but that is for another day. This past weekend I turned the Big 40!
I do not live near my parents or most of my family for that matter so we were lucky enough to take a few days off and go home. We were missing a few family members as the kids started school.
I was so happy to be with my parents and most of my siblings because I am the youngest of six children. We are truly blessed to still have both of our happily married parents still here with us.
Looking back I have accomplished a lot in my life so far. I think it is important for us all to realize what we have accomplished and or have overcome in our past. Make sure you really understand and appreciate what you have accomplished in life as you are trying to achieve new goals.
I have decided that I am going to do a bucket list for my 40th year of life. Some of the things on my list are things I have always wanted to do but never had the chance and others are things that I am truly terrified of doing.
Let me explain the bucket list that will I be conquering this year. I am not sure how I am going to plan it out but I need to write it down so I can feel that it is real and I will conquer it. Please follow me along on this journey on my blog
1. Learn to play guitar
2. Travel to Italy
3. Practice my photography more
4. Go to a glass blowing class
5. Write a short story and publish it on my blog
6. Take an art class
7. Take a cooking class
8. Eat at a Michelin 3 star restaurant
9. Achieve my ideal weight (note: not someone else’s idea of ideal)
10. Learn to play tennis
11. Fly in a hot air balloon (note: so terrified of this one)
12. Learn to knit
This is what I have so far. I would like to add a few more items to this list. Does anyone have suggestions?
