1) Thai green curry with tofu and veggies on rice (320 cals); 2) Sweet potato, broccoli and chicken thigh (376 cals); 3) Chilli with sausage (341 cals); 4) Chicken soup (238 cals). I made 28 meals, so I've frozen 11 and kept 17 handy for the week. I'm hoping this helps reduce our waste and I don't have to cook so much next week 🤞

Genuine question (teeing up tomorrows #TempsTipsToAMerryLITmas ), would you rather be in shape, feeling good physically and mentally or be out enjoying yourself, making memories but not feeling as on the ball? Let me know below 👇🏽 This video is from 14 weeks ago, just before I injured my shoulder. I felt in the best shape, physically and mentally and it’s actually a tough call for me to decide between that feeling then and how I’m enjoying my lifestyle now.
I’ve had the best month, catching up with everyone, going to Dubai and being more relaxed with my diet but I haven’t been as productive (that’s what I mean when I say mentally) and I’m nowhere near as in good shape as this.
Exercise is a massive part of me balancing my lifestyle and my shoulder injury has had a massive impact on what I can do and it’s changed my #priorities and #goals , subsequently.
It feels like it’s just starting to get better and I can’t wait to get back on a good fitness program feeling 100% fit. For now though, I’m going to enjoy the festive period, take my own advice and try and not change my current physique too much and use exercise to balance the extra calories I’m consuming.
I’m using this video as my motivation; I know what it took to get there, I know how I did it and I know how I felt and that’s where I want to be again. Comparison and using images for motivation gets a bad rap but I find comparing me to me is good for getting results. #balance#lifestyle#fitness#LITness
Cheat meal or calorie tracking?
Both require discipline but in my experience cheat meals can lead to a reward/punish mentality and or binge eating.
Eating a low calorie week of nutrition with strict and rigid guidelines followed by a cheat meal has a tendency for the cheat meal to increase in size as the weeks go on and potentially turn into cheat day or days.
Tracking the calories of snacks that might normally be considered a cheat allows you to stay within calorie boundaries for the day and potentially increase adherence [sticking to the diet] due to no FOMO existing.
Now if I was closer to the end of a long dieting period then this might not be a good use of 500 calories however I’m not and that’s a different story.
That’s the beauty of flexible dieting or counting calories whatever you want to cal it
