Wednesdays at the Mezcal Collective by @aaron.thephotographer 🎥 we had a fantastic time with @abreojostequila cocktail demo. Who new how tasty their Reposado is in an egg nog? I’m still dreaming about it. #dtla#dtlanightlife#happeningindtla#mezcal#tequila

Matthias @servedbysoberon has once again spearheaded #SecretSanté to bring together the #drinkstagram community for a boozy virtual gift exchange. Matthias assigns each participant the name of another to tribute with a cocktail. This year, I drew @vermaasdirk, who I just began following! Dirk hails from Rotterdam, Netherlands 🇳🇱 and joined in late 2017. From what I gather, Dirk enjoys a wide range of spirits, and favours classics that are approachable for the home enthusiast. I detected an affinity towards mezcal in his feed, and he has declared the Milano-Torino his absolute favourite, so this one’s for you Dirk! 🎅🏼 Santé 🥂
60ml Dillon’s Sweet Vermouth
2 dashes Dillon’s mole bitters
—Build in glass over cracked ice. Stir. Garnish with blood orange wheel—
The Milano-Torino, named after the origins of its two base spirits, is the predecessor of the Americano (add soda water), and the Negroni (add gin). Mine is the Milano-Tronno, as I’ve featured two local small-batch products from Dillon’s (made in the Niagara region south of Toronto, also known as the Greenbelt 🍇🍅🍓🍑🍐🥬🥦). Swipe to see the Tronno tote bag by @fitzydesign, which shows several ways folks pronounce “Toronto”. Consider it my Canadian tip of the toque to Dirks
and the international #drinksfam . Specs cited in millilitres as the metric system is favoured overseas 🎚😉.
Week 50 | Get That Glow: Unusual Beauty Tips for Men and Women
At Burning Man this year - as all good stories start - I met a now dear friend Zach @newzlynd. ✨
He was like the dad from My Big Fat Greek Wedding (but better looking). You see, Zach had a cure for anything and everything, but it wasn’t Windex. If I would subtly mention, “wow, my skin is so dry”, “geez, I need a shower”, “ouch, I have a cut”, he’d readily whip out a flask and instruct me to put some mezcal on it. So many an afternoon I’d splash mezcal into my hands, all over my body, (into my mouth), on to my hair, and it moisturized, it detoxified, it clarified - yes, mezcal cured all.
Whether you’re a woman or man, this week I would actually love to hear from you all. ✨
What are some unusual, non-chemical, hopefully plant based, health + beauty routines and products you use? ✨
I have listed some in the link in my bio, including the power of exfoliating weekly, sprinkling turmeric in my water everyday, dabbing vitamin e all over my face, and partaking in the occasional coffee enema, but yea, let’s get to talking - comment below! x❤️
To end this Sunday delight yourself with the Durango version of Mezcales de Leyenda, whose agave requires between 10 and 14 years of maturation and are necessary 18 kg to produce this delicious Mezcal with field, flowers, wet earth and leather aromas.
Find your prefered version on our website on the bio!
