Sleeping pigeon pose is a good variation. Walk your hands forward and rest your forehead on the mat. Keeping your hips square. If needed you can place a block under your hips. Another great alternative is to keep your arms slightly forward of your hips and push down through your hands supporting your spine until you build strenth (swipe for pics). Be sure to repeat the same variation on both sides yogis. Gotta keep balanced and all that jazz 🌌

I see the sun melting on to earth as the sun sets. Such an amazing view of mother earth and all her glory! With every day, the sun rises again as we all should because everyday is a new day! #sunset .
It is our third day and Mumbai has already left quite an impression on me. I have 19 mosquito bites on my legs, dehydration, and constant headaches from the noise and the heat. But! This will not stop me from exploring, from trying new foods, from chatting to locals. I am grateful to share the whole experience with my love, and for the space to flow in our lovely @airbnb. Instead of being moody in Mumbai monsoon, I choose to be a mermaid in Mumbai monsoon. Happy Independence Day, India 🧡🐯🕌👁📿

Baby steps...working towards mermaid pose. I feel this asana embodies 2 qualities I'm working to cultivate into my existence: grace & strength. I used to think I would only share these kind of photos if and when I had mastered the asana. But these days I'm being reminded that there is so much beauty in the process. So much for us to witness, to be grateful for...This is what yoga is about. Unconditionally loving yourself and honoring your body at every step along the journey.
Day 1: This will be my first attempt at (a) mastering a specific asana, and (b) documenting and sharing my progress for y'all 📸🧜♀️because... why not!? --> my motto these days.
