‼️It’s time!!!! ‼️ I’m please to announce: WHealth Within: A Mental Health Conference!! Whether it is through our family, or our friends, or even ourselves, we all have come in contact with someone who has or is suffering from a mental illness. Many do not know how to deal with it or even know what resources are available to them. Scour through the internet and you will see a plethora of fitness and health pages. Yet when it comes to mental illnesses, it is often associated with criminals. Our internal health is JUST AS important as our physical health. The world is now starting to realize that mental illnesses cannot just be ignored, shunned, vilified, or even prayed away.
This conference will help us identify some of the common mental illnesses and offer practical and effective ways to deal/cope/thrive with them.
Dress comfortably! There will be some hands-on activities from nutrition, to light exercises. We want everyone to walk away with tools and resources to apply to their everyday life.
This event is FREE! Lunch and light snacks will be provided! We encourage families to attend together so childcare will be provided as well.

I've been thinking alot about perspective taking lately. Questions which ask someone to consider a different viewpoint are the backbones of therapy. Being able to stop, turn away from your regular perspective and instead look up to find something new, really is a skill.
So, if you could see this situation differently, how might you view it?
This year TheMHS conference is being held in Adelaide, the city in which the very first TheMHS conference was held in 1991.
If you’re joining us in Adelaide for our annual conference this year and would like to see a little bit of Adelaide while you’re in town, there are some beautiful spots you can visit. Photo by: Michael Wong

The collective efforts of the planning team for this two-day conference will focus on how LGBTQ+ peoples of color see themselves and how these perceptions influence and affect their mental health. The collective strengths and wisdom of clinicians, consumers, academics, and advocates confront the issues affecting identity constructs in these communities, especially in light of the policies and rhetoric from the current Administration and against the backdrop of conservative religious belief systems.
Excited to be presenting 2 sessions at the International Metagenics Conference this week. Pinnacle high performers keynote Friday and a plenary workshop Monday ... and dinner to boot! @metagenics_anz #cantwait#excited
‼️EXCITING NEWS ‼️ The Pypeline is sponsoring it’s very first (hopefully annual) mental health event THIS September in New York! “The Garden” will be a day-long conference focusing on holistic wellness, spirituality, and hitting on the root causes of our trauma. You are not going to want to miss this! •
And to make SURE you don’t miss being a part of this, WE NEED YOU. Even if you are not in the NY/Tri-State area, we want to hear your stories. You can share anonymously; but we want to celebrate your resilience! What is YOUR story surrounding mental health? How did you overcome? Or how are you actively overcoming? DM or e-mail your stories to firstname.lastname@example.org. And if you don’t have a personal story, what’s something that you’d want an individual enduring mental health challenges to know? Looking forward to hearing from you! 🌻
Spent an amazing day at the California school based health alliance conference in Sacramento. So many amazing discussions including mindfulness for trauma, looking at cultural issues we face at schools and in our communities, self-care for mental health practitioners, and so much more.
