While not as exciting as an arm balance, this pose will certainly help you stretch the muscles groups needed to work up to the full expression of today’s main pose. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Facing the middle of the room, open the legs about 3-4 feet apart with the left foot parallel and flush to the wall and the right foot turned slightly in. Lean against the wall with the entire back so that the hips and chest are open. Reach the left arm forward bending at the waist and let your left hand fall to the shin, floor, or block while the right arm initially reaches overhead. Continue opening up the right hip working both sides of the rib cage to touch the wall. In this variation, we’re going to reach the top arm forward parallel to the floor to increase the side body stretch as well as add a little something extra for the core. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Plant based Breakfast Tacos
When I first went to plant based eating, I felt like I was giving up a lot. Cooking seemed very confusing as I went through the integration period...especially with eggs because I loved eggs. Fortunately having friends that were plant based helped me out a lot! Organic non-gmo tofu is packed with protein. A single serving has 8 grams of protein...A single egg has 6 grams of protein. I get it...while tofu by itself has a bland taste...add some spices as necessary to doctor it to your liking just as you would scrambled eggs. Cost wise it is about the same if not a little cheaper. So you are also saving money.
Here’s the quick and simple recipe for Plant Based Breakfast Tacos.
Siete Almond Flour Tortillas
Organic Lightlife Tempeh Bacon
Organic Wildwood Firm Tofu
Organic chili powder
Organic seasoning salt
Pink Himalayan Salt
Cook tofu with mushrooms, add spices as necessary...the turmeric gives the tofu a scrambled egg look.
Heat the “bacon tempeh” separately till lightly brown on each side.
Heat the tortillas on a pan
Put it all together, and put it in your mouth.
If you are gluten intolerant...subtract the tempeh as it does have wheat in it. I don’t eat much gluten anymore...but it’s nice to have from time to time as it doesn’t bother my digestive tract.
I mentioned the protein factor about because people ask me all the time where I get my protein from in my diet - that tends to be a huge reason why people are reluctant about plant based diets. I get my protein from the same place as animals...I eat plants. Pound for pound - the largest and strongest land dwelling animals on earth are plant based. 🐘🦏🐪🦍🐫 Enjoy your tacos!

When the internal block of ego communicates with emotion, it doesn't matter how wise or how great you are, you become self-destructive; and whenever your ego and your intelligence come together, you shall become successful. It doesn't matter who you are. Your ego is like the common wire of a toggle switch; your emotions and your intelligence are the two opposite poles. It is just a matter of blocking the current to one pole and allowing it.

Next week, August 26th, will be my 29th birthday...crazy! I’ll be spending it in Lisbon, Portugal. Doing the whole ‘Eat, Pray, Love’ thing and traveling by myself! 😍
Philadelphia is beginning to feel like home. I’m able to navigate the city easily and I love the location I live in.
I’ve made some great friends over the past month. One in particular has stolen my heart, @missizzydee!❤️ We worked a 3 day trip together and immediately bonded over shared limitless loves like EDM festivals, alternative healing arts, yoga, and of course Rick & Morty! Thanks for bringing so much joy to my life.🙏🏻
I began practicing at a spiritually based yoga studio called The Sanctuary Yoga and Meditation. It’s been a missing puzzle piece in my life and I’m grateful to have found it. Still practicing @corepoweryoga to off-set my heavy food intake😂
